We have to keep this thread alive, don’t we.
New version of 4093 based timer for T2 PSU - replaces the 555 IC. Makes a LED flashing during pre-heat and get steady when high voltages kicks in.
Old to the left and new to the right.
New in place in the T2 power supply.
1) You should be able to, but I don't have a sim to measure power dissipation in these. Since they are only used as drivers (and not as the outputs as in the SS Dynalo) I think you should be OK. I thought you said you had these?
2) Yes. The MJF is an isolated package, so you can bolt straight to the heatsink. It is rated at 36W vs. 50W for the MJE (with metal tab). I think they are the same die, just package difference.
Can't believe I'm resurrecting such an old thread.
My 4 year old grandson needs noise cancelling headphones. Apparently he has issues with loud environments. I looked at the sony wh1000xm2 but that doesn't look like something that will fit a 4 year old well. Considering how they would be handled might not be a wise choice anyway.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks Brent. I know literally nothing about noise cancelling headphones. Been reading but didn't see wirecutter. Thank You!
Of course you don't know this grandson has a short arm (aka no hand) on the left. IEMs were my first thought but as talented as he is with one hand I couldn't see how that would work. I'll let me daughter know.
