  1. Good idea. I grinded my teeth into a root canal, not fun. Now, I never go without the night guard. Congrats! My first PhD student is graduating this May. I just found out that she has an interview at the national meetings in January. That was a nice surprise considering how aweful the job market is these days.
  2. Well, given that I have lost for the last 4 weeks in a row and I am playing Deepak this week, I am guessing that I am in for another loss. My guess is that Raffy (Iron Lung) and Dinny (DAC PAC) will win their games this week so it will really be between the two of them. Of course maybe Vick will score a million points again and Schwartz will beat Iron Lung (still quite unhappy about that loss... grrrr).
  3. That's me! Bought in April 2008, I have had trouble with mine from the beginning.
  4. I have boot camp/Windows 7 set up so that is an option although I don't really like to run Windows. Basically, I was hoping to run EyeTV and RowPro at the same time so I could to watch the news at the same time I am rowing. EyeTV only runs on Mac. I guess Parallels would work for that. My husband does have have an "old" Windows laptop that I could dedicate to RowPro.
  5. NM, RowPro is only for Windows.
  6. Happy belated birthday Salty!
  7. Happy Birthday Gene!!!!

I bought a pair (even though I already have a pair of them). I am sure I can give them to somebody for Christmas.
  9. That for the RowPro suggestion.
  10. Concept2 Model D indoor rowing machine
  11. Couldn't find anything to buy either.
  12. Damn Chris Johnson decided to not score any points this week. That is just pathetic especially since he was up against one of the worst defensive teams (Houston Texans). Unless my kicker get a lot of field goals in the last half of the game, it looks like I will have my third loss in a row. @Vicki: You totally kicked butt this week!!!
  13. Get a cow? Perhaps cows and gators don't play well though.
  14. Happy Birthday friend!!!
  15. I want some sourdough pizza crust.
  16. That mac and cheese recipe looks good so does the pizza. @Mike: Did you make your own sauce too? We usually cheat and use pasta sauce from a jar. The pizza stone is key.
  17. Nice buy JP!
  18. Finally got around to upgrading the ipad and Apple TV and airplay is great. There is only one complaint I have but maybe someone here knows how to fix it. I can choose a youtube video to play on my ipad (via the you Tube app) and then tell it to play it on the Apple TV. However, when I "close" or maybe I should say suspend the You Tube app, the video stops playing on the Apple TV. Anyone know how to fix this without having to search and play directly from the Apple TV? Not sure if someone already asked this as I haven't been following all the airplay stuff as much as would usually due to my schedule last week.
  19. Happy Birthday Zoe!
  20. Very nice, a great recording! I have tried the low top Chuck Taylor but I still prefer my Vibram Five Fingers for lifting and everything else in the gym. Went by the liquor store to pick up some cocktail supplies. When I got home, I realized I bought the wrong bottle of Old Raj gin (got the 92 proof instead of the 110, oh well). I also forgot the Sofia Mini sparkling wine cans.
  21. Flew back home after a very long, tiring, and stressful week. I am really glad I was able to be there for my mom but I hope this sort of thing doesn't happen very often. In fact, when I saw my husband at the airport, I was so happy/relieved, I starting crying. The good news is that I seemed to have lost about 5 pounds over the last week.
  22. Congrat to your daughter Craig. x5 on the gorgeous part. That smoked bird looks great Mike.
  23. Took my mom home from the hospital just in time for the holiday. She is very happy to be out of there. I will be happy to have internet access again.
  24. More good news today... my mom does not have congestive heart failure! They have also taken her off the antibiotics finally and are going to watch her for a day. If she is still improving tomorrow, they are going to let her go home. I will be happy to not have to go to the hospital for a while. My fingers are crossed.
  25. A bottle of Maison Surrene to take back to Texas.
