I've found using Migration Assistant with a Time Machine backup works better than a Mac-to-Mac transfer, even with Ethernet cable. Moving to a different operating system is also dicey, so keeping each computer at the same version of macOS (if possible) reduces complications as well. FileVault also introduces its own issues, so I tend to keep it off if I'm thinking about transferring the system (Keychains can get messed up in the migration as well).
I think macOS Monterey (12.2.1) is still buggy at this point, so Catalina and Big Sur are better bets for mission-critical systems.
If this had a microphone, it would be a great subject for one of those Russian reversal jokes...
As it is, a number of party-oriented Bluetooth speakers have light capabilities already, so it makes sense to go the other way as well in the name of convergence.
This might make for a handy audiobook reader or talk-radio speaker if its frequency range is oriented towards the midrange.
David Lynch's friend, Chrysta Bell, seems to be channeling David Bowie, Goldfrapp, and Annie Lennox... her new album, Midnight Star, released January 21 (also on cassette and vinyl – why not CD?):
My first pair of Koss headphones were probably their least expensive earbuds, to replace my broken Panasonic cassette walkman's stock pair (which were decent). A succession of similar Koss headphones followed. My last pair (still working fine!) is the Koss SportaPro, purchased in the early 2000s.
Great headphones, great company (I think they had some kind of internal scandal some years ago).
RIP, John Koss.
The Chord Mojo was officially discontinued last summer.
There is a bit of speculation about its successor... Chord has a tease pic with a date of January 31: https://chordelectronics.co.uk/coming-soon
I hope they design it to run without a battery or resolve whatever battery issues were plaguing the Mojo.
The Chord Mojo 2 is now available and the reviews are rolling out. I think I'll look into one seriously once they've eliminated the Micro-USB jack (for Poly compatibility). At some point, they'll probably change it to another USB-C for a Poly 2.
An interesting post from the designer, Rob Watts, regarding its crossfeed implementation: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/chord-mojo-2-thread-___-product-released-january-31-2022-starting-on-page-95-of-thread.885405/post-16800704
This overview is decent:
