  1. In today's entertainment news... Kim Jong Il, the Director He Kidnapped, and the Awful Godzilla Film They Made Together http://ow.ly/1CiJBi
  2. pigmode, sorry to hear also. ___________ For the Jew who wanted more Xmas tree shots, this went up a short bit ago...
  3. Did Kim Jong II become temporarily mortal? Bad timing.
  4. Damn, hadn't heard. Vaclav Havel too. So Cesaria Evora's self-titled now. Later the Velvets and some The Plastic People Of The Universe http://is.gd/Df9nhJ
  5. Sorry to hear Chris.
  6. A Stephen Fry & friends/IQ2 Hitchens tribute last month.

  9. HBD!
  10. There are few I've felt that for (though often over time don't), but never Cohen.
  11. Err... Archbishop John Onaiyekan and Ann Widdencombe. At the risk of pigeon-holing him as just a New Atheist, here's a particularly relavent vid... And not my favorite, but worth watching his Mother Teresa critique...
  12. The Atlantic Hitchens archive.

  14. In the last year a ton of videos have appeared from the past. Check out this Buckley v. Hitchens one looking back to the 60s. Really f*&kin' good (try to ignore host and his props). Also interesting to watch as he took the other side in more recent events (may even help clarify the reasons).
  15. Not unexpected, but damn. Piece from a week ago: http://t.co/qXYGDo7G Good slide-show of photos: http://www.vanityfair.com/culture/features/2011/12/christopher-hitchens-slideshow-201112
  16. An audiophile goes in search of the world's the quietest laptop http://theatln.tc/syhD5i
  17. I've since moved back to HD800s, but the LCD2s were strong enough to shift me away from the 4070s.
  18. Merida is probably my favorite small city in the world. Uxmal has great ruins (and of course Itza). So many ruins possibilities. This book was helpful: http://www.amazon.com/Archaeological-Guide-Mexicos-Yucatan-Peninsula/dp/0806125853/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1323844162&sr=1-1 Playa is a nice break from Cancun area. Stay away from ultra-touristy Cozumel. The upper-mid Yucatan outside Cancun is nothing like TJ. Safer than most of US in my book. Cancun is a resort area and like all resort areas open to theft. Comparatively safe though. Old photos: https://picasaweb.google.com/105779469515584875752/MeridaPlayaDelCarmen?authuser=0&feat=directlink

  22. Man, sorry to hear Dan. You'd think bubbles and Air would work better together.
  23. Guttenberg has a lot of interesting info, but my issue with him is he's a click whore. He'll publish opposing proposals (sometimes the same week, usually in different media) to, I'm guessing, stir controversy. He'll post for example "Why are their no audiophiles under 40?" while he's also elsewhere reviewing a headphone meet and how great it is to see so many young people interested in audio. He does this all the time. And lately his tweets have entertainingly gotten more angry... AudiophiliacMan Steve Guttenberg I literally get off my ass to go out and buy and play my #music collection. I guess that's too labor intensive for some of us. https://twitter.com/...791753269059584
