  1. Hope you feel better soon, Antonio! Me, the good: lost a weekend day going to day 1 of 3 of the Boston TDWI (The Data Warehouse Institute) conference. But well worth the missed day, it was great. Looking forward to the next couple days..... The bad: my father-in-law - some may remember he was diagnosed with dementia, specifically Frontotemporal Degeneration - has been in the hospital, unable to move up here to an assisted living place near us. They have excellent memory care facilities, but he is slipping physically now as well as mentally. In a hospital in NJ, my wife went down this weekend to see him. Apparently a physical and mental shell.....my wife, her mom, and sisters are talking about what happens if he passes away down there (will she still move up here; hope she will).
  2. Hope it is/was a great day!!
  3. Agreed, Ric. While the Herus probably is great, he probably hasn't heard much. FWIW, I pre-ordered the Light Harmonic Geek with upgraded output for $250 (didn't make the Kickstarter project). It's got a 3D Awesomifier.....must be good (Probably some kind of cross-feed implementation).
  4. Happy Birthday! Here's to many many more
  5. OK, I just squirmed in my seat.... Grahame, glad to hear all is well there with your Mum. How are YOU getting around on that knee?
  6. Completing the birthday Tri-fecta today, Happy Birthday Iain! Hope you, your animals, your stove, and musical instruments all enjoy!
  7. Happy Birthday!
  8. Happy Birthday!
  9. Good luck in travels and knees!

  13. NFL Offensive Lineman --> Orthopedic Surgeon. A natural progression.... Actually, I think that's slightly awesome! A good "life after football" story.
  14. Listening now, in 24/44.1 Hi-Res....so far so good! Some (many?) similarities to her first, TBD if I like one over the other. EDIT: as the tracks go on, realizing there is more of a difference from the first.....will need more listens, but I'm thinking the first album "grabbed" me more.

  20. I like it.....
  21. Sounds like fun Al, especially for grandson! Me: popular dad today while my wife is at her college reunion. After a haircut for my son, we went out to lunch for some good local pizza and "spicy fries." Then his friend came over, and he got permission back to play Grand Theft Auto 5 (taken away due to some bad quiz/homework grades). They played ping ping, air hockey, and watched a movie, while I slow cooked some ribs. They went over very well, kids loved them. Off in a couple to have some warmed-up pumpkin bread with vanilla ice cream.....
  22. Very cute! Henjo looks to have the right amount of play & tolerance. Oh...and nice stove
  23. ^^^^^ I once went to the Apple Store and my son and I put this Winnie Puuh video on about 7 machines (laptop and desktop) before the Geniuses came around and shut them down.... Got several chuckles out of it from other people in the store....one of whom stayed in front of the machine and watched it to the end, not letting anyone shut it down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dllo85ZSUk
  24. Sorry to hear Wayne. Same boat for me as Al, though sadly we've had more suicides than accidental or natural deaths....scary....
  25. Man, that's sad to hear Al...I mean, Counselor Badass. Seriously, sympathies to wife and family....
