  1. Ditto.....hoping the best for all involved, friend or stranger.....
  2. It was a blowout in the third, but I thought the Rangers were finally moving during the first and second. The Nash goal was great, and had/has me worried that he found his game. But, the Rangers were down 2-0 to the Caps, so I'm not counting any chickens. One knows how that can work out...Toronto. Ready for Tuesday.....
  3. The "or not" version turned out to be her falling asleep just a few minutes into the TV show she was watching. I ended up going to catch San Jose beat LA in OT..... We were down in NJ celebrating Mother's Day with her mother last week, hence the raincheck.
  4. Spent some time celebrating a belated Mother's Day for my wife Karen. Nice diner-style breakfast (her dad used to do that a lot in NJ where she grew up), then off to get her a simple but decent bike. Capped off with a REALLY good Italian dinner in Newburyport, MA. She loved it, said it was her new favorite place (beating out Boston's North End, which is very hard to do). Now home, and considering watching a movie, or not.....
  5. Partially owed to the fact the Bruins won, but I didn't think the game was so boring (was expecting a defensive snooze-fest). Yes, some tight defensive play, but getting almost 50 shots on goal is quite tough aginst a solid Rangers team. The Bruins had 3 defensemen injured, and almost a 4th multiple times during the game. Their rookies played REAL well for a first time in a second round playoff game! Rangers still scare me, though, if players like Nash find their touch again; and I fully expect Lundqvist to be better. There's some incredible talent there. I'm sure NY'ers probably feel frustrated with the Torts system at times, we certainly do at times with Julien's. But hell, whoever keeps winning keeps the job longer.
  6. Happy Birthday!
  7. Congrats, and damn you said this before I could!
  8. Wow wow wow......still on a major high.....that was the most intense comeback I've EVER seen. Glad I DVR'd it because I missed goals 2 & 3....had to go back and re-watch. I promise I'll watch all the games, ALL game from now on. Thanks for keeping the faith Gene! Dan, sorry we couldn't re-hash our bet.....oddly, I thought it would have been more realistic to have the Caps in and Bruins out......
  9. I was SO disgusted at the lack of effort, I was swearing up a storm and shut the dang thing off; I think i rattled that exact long phrase at my TV. But yeah....too soon.....I'll write "I'm sorry I called the Bruins Stupid-ass-tool-suckbag-loser-shithead-fucktards" a thousand times on the chalkboard if we can take this. Just keep the momentum into OT.....
  10. Stupid-ass-tool-suckbag-loser-shithead-fucktard Bruins!!!! At least show some freakin' heart..... Oh well, I think they need to do what Vancouver is doing and retool some off-season. Showed such passion and grit in 2011, and have been near-empty shells since. Who to root for next....maybe Ottawa? They are everything the Bruins used to be.....would love to see them at least knock out the Penguins. Go.....someone! EDIT: HOLY FUCK!!!!! I turn it off to come post here, and now it's 4-4!!!!! Oh, don't break my heart.....going to watch the rest of the game now.
  11. 2 Game 7's tonight, seeing if Bruins can pull it off or do another nearly-Philadeplphia-2010 choke. Even if they win, I'm a little nervous about the next round. Rangers and Caps always play them tough. Don't necesarily have a preference in that series, don't dislike either team. I'll be disappointed if the Bruins lose, but they have not been playing up to their potential by any means, for the last couple months. So part of me is thinking they're done, but part is thinking they pull out the win.
  12. Happy Belated! Hope it was great
  13. I like the High Z with the DSHA-1, though I'll admit it was based off about 5-10 minutes of listening on both outputs.....haven't gone back to Low Z since.
  14. Bummer for the Isles, they played a good game tonight....what an awesome crowd for them, though.... Much respect, looking forward to them being great again!
  15. Oh, yeah.....stupid....fuckin'....me.....
  16. Yeah, can't really agree with that Dan...... But yeah, if the games/teams align like they are seeming to, our bet is on again..... PS - Gene, interesting scenario played out. Wouldn't mind that myself. But I'm starting to think the Penguins might have a tough time with Ottawa if they beat the Isles....
  17. Ooh, in before midnight EST....Happy Birthday!
  18. Happy Birthday!!!
  19. Man, Vokoun can be a killer when he is on.....remember he's stolen many a game. Watched some of it last night, Isles were getting some good pressure and shots, but Vokoun played positionally well and controlled rebounds (or the D cleared it) well. Meanwhile, Montreal - after a great turnaround season - got pushed (almost literally, they were all but beaten down) out by the Senators. If Pitt wins, they face Ottawa; that could be a scary matchup, the way Ottawa plays. I'll be at the Bruins game tonight, vendor offered me one iof the tickets to their luxury box Hope the Bruins can close out Toronto tonight!
  20. ROSEBUd......
  21. What Chris said, Jacob. First new steps look hopeful......
  22. Great news! He seems to be in good enough spirits, too. Hopefully no permanent issues.
  23. That's a great video, Ric.....we (some HS friends and I) used to watch people in day to day activities, and make up stories about who they were and what they were doing. Wasn't deep at all, we weren't looking to make that "choice" about how to perceive life; we were just bored teenagers, and drugs got us only so far.
  24. Wow, looked nasty! Hopefully good news and a full recovery.....
  25. Happy Birthday!!
