RIP someone or another
I remember him! There was also a movie/documentary about him IIRC....he was a genuine wrestler from Iran, and a true strong man. RIP....

What are you listening to Part the Third
My favorite Cowboy Junkies album is Caution Horses. Not as well recorded as The Trinity Sessions, but I like the music more. Sun Comes Up It's Tuesday Morning is just a beautiful stream of consciousness gritty song, and 'Cause Cheap Is How I Feel evokes a ton of feeling as well.... There was a newer release in the last few years, called Sharon, that has some of the first recordings from the album; it was a failed attempt to do similar single-mic recording as Trinity, but the space wasn't as good. Just some interesting stories around the making of the record.... Of course, I was in love with Margo Timmins too, so that helps the enjoyment 🙂

RIP someone or another
RIP to my "Aunty Joyce." She was great friends with my mom from their early teens, and they lived in the same hometown for a bunch of years when they first raised a family; one of my best friends is her son. She was a kind and smart woman who still had a wonderful and sometimes biting sarcasm; I suppose that made her one of my favorites, too. She went downhill quickly, after an Alzheimer's diagnosis; though the signs were there longer. Larry lost his older brother to cancer more than a decade ago. Several years back his dad passed; and now his mom. My heart goes out to him as well. RIP Joyce, will certainly raise a glass tonight.

I still have this song on my "mellow" playlist for my car. One of his other hits as well (I Saw The Light), but done by Lori Carson....like that version even better. Great songwriter!

I've been listening to a lot of 80's Ska ever since Terry hall passed away.... Indeed great to see the "originals" that inspired so much great music in that era. Thanks Doug!- The Knuckledragger 3rd Memorial Slow Forum Post
One of several "animal" martial arts scenes....this is awesome! "ancient yodel of wisdom, peace, and justice..." 🤣- Happy Birthday Shelly!

Doing Gord's Gold vol's 1 and 2 myself.....- RIP someone or another
Hadn't used the term for years, but one of my oldest friends was a fan, not SO much of all of Gordon's work, but of "Rainy Day People." Years later, his brother passed away WAY too young from cancer, and in my stupidity of not knowing what to say, I avoided talking with him. It took a while, but I finally did connect; he was understandably hurt. I profusely apologized, and said later that I wanted to be one of his Rainy Day People, he meant that much to me and my family. He did forgive me, we both shed some tears that night, and we of course are still close to this day.- RIP someone or another
Love him, so much great music. Incredible writing and musically so wonderful. RIP to yet another legend! 😥
