Interesting concept! Best of luck John! -
This was back when i had power at my house....been 36+ hours without, and counting..... New Shpongle! Have to say, though, was a bit underwhelmed for the first few songs, a bit bass-heavy EDM for me. But they got more of that Psy-trance in later, so got better,

Man, I thought Fats was immortal! RIP.... And RIP Robert, my first taste of him was on "Soap" and I loved his character Benson. Went too far with his own show, but always liked him.

Makes me think of a phrase that my wife says to me. When she doesn't feel strongly about something, she'll give me an "opt-out" phrase. "Do you want to get the Doge DAC, or nah?"

A work colleague from Amsterdam sent me a YT link to this young lady, have been enjoying several videos.....nice guitar work, fun with vocal beatbox and tape loops. A couple times her guitar loops and playing reminded me of Vini Reilly from Durutti Column.....

I've always liked Dan, too, he's a great guy and quite the character (at a post-NY-meet dinner a few years, he was regaling us with some great Burning Man stories). I think he makes very good products, and tries hard to keep improving. And while this causes issues with older gear losing value, I do not put him in the same category as HiFi-Man, which seem to rush out lesser quality products, only to introduce rev 2's shortly thereafter to fix the issues (and again greatly devalue the first series). I heard Dan's prototype Stat's at a NY meet, one driven by a BHSE, one by a Cavalli amp. The Cavalli amp one sounded horrendous; closed-in, limited in frequency response, just kind of lifeless. I discounted this, well because Cavalli. The BHSE-driven phones sounded more promising, but it took a high turn of the volume to get it going. I'll leave it to those who know the most to critique the products....but I DO like and respect the man, too. And Purk, if he can compete with the Stax phones, especially without going all proprietary, I'm all for that!

RIP Gord....knew it was coming, he handled it with superhuman grace and class. A sad day for Canada and the world.

Bryan, how is that? I have it but haven't listened yet. I was intrigued initially because it was "Kurt and Courtney"......

Lots of I feel bad for the consumers who now will have to pay for repairs, especially those "lifetime warranty" amps from first batches. I have no idea of anything around investors, but yeah: no apparent partners interested in his legacy. Oh, well, not Singlepower level of fail. And I wish Alex well with his family. But many people left a little bit high and dry now
-
This probably allows them to get out of any support but they still get some royalty $ I'm sure. All their customers will likely have to send to China to get any repairs done.....

Happy belated! C'mon back and say yer hello's y'hear?

Hardly ever post here since I hardly eat interesting things, but.... Ground Camel sliders with a Southwest Rub. Bit chewy, but quite yummy!

That video that Mikey posted is really fucking haunting! It's like a movie about a post-apocalyptic world.....so horrible that it is reality.....wishing the best for everyone there......
