  6. I bought this CD years ago, because it was a test disk that someone at Stereophile used in his reviews. It's not bad. Ry Cooder is on there, and Terry is convincing (grew up near the delta, Robert Johnson, etc.). On the down side, there is a '70s soul vibe to it which I personally don't like. Can't say I'd recommend it unless your into that.
  7. Terry Evans - Puttin' It Down
  8. I bought this DVD based on a friend stating it was the best something or other, so take that for what it's worth. Not sure if there's a CD of it or not. it's a damn good performance and worth adding to your collection anyway.
  9. Perfect answer.
  10. Charles Mingus Mingu Ah Um Still trying to figure out where this ranks for me among top jazz albums of all time. It's somewhere in the top five.

  14. I'm not the best to ask, because I've just recently got into her. She does rock. She's refreshing to hear. I would recommend Schoenberg & Sibelius Violin Concertos, beyond that, I'll be getting more from her. I really like the Mendelssohn concerto, so that will probably be next, but I doubt any will disappoint. She's not terrible to look at either.
  15. Hilary Hahn - Brahm/Stravinski Violin Concertos
  16. B. B. King - Deuces Wild
  17. At least Patrick wasn't a hater with his ERS papers. He lost his mind in a nice way.
