  8. Sorry a noob question, but how do I connect my concert hall to my preamp?
  9. B&J is the best. I used to go for Heath exclusively. Lately, it's been chocolate fudge brownie.
  10. Steve Vai - Sex & Religion Redbook
  11. Isn't it like $3K for new drivers, recable, tune up, etc. Basically, the works on top of the $1,500 or so for the HP-2s? I think John's excessive mark up tactics are rubbing off on Joe - as much as I'd like the idea of an upgraded HP-2 with new drivers, it's a bit over the top in price.
  12. Guns N' Roses - Chinese Democracy Redbook
  13. ^ This is fact. Preference should be ignored in this case. There's a very noticeable different from the UW bandwith cable vs the standard to my ears.

I wasn't into the DT880 sound, but I'm definitely interested in hearing these.
  16. Christopher Parkening / Elmer Bernstein - Concerto for Guitar Redbook I had no idea this existed before yesterday. A surprisingly good concerto for guitar. Parkening has been at my top spot since Segovia passed, so it's all win if you're into this kind of thing.
  17. Thelonious Monk Plays Duke Ellington Redbook
  18. Andre Segovia - Reveries Now... Mozart / Alfred Brendel - Piano Concertos K.466 (my favorite) and K.491 both vinyl
  19. I like the GS-1000s a lot. I bought them when they first came out. They have a colored, romantic sound that gives life and energy to the music. That being said, they are very unique sounding, and I can see how some really don't like them. They can sound horrid in the wrong system or on a recording with nasty highs. With tubes and vinyl the GS-1000 is in it's prime. They fall under the "must listen to first" category without a doubt. I look forward to your impressions of the PS-1000.
