I'd heard that New Orleans had a lot of gay bars, but I had no idea that there was sex there, or that it was a spectator sport. Seriously, I had no idea they were still together.

Unless your dual subs are directly below the desk you sit at when listening to the K1000. This works quite well for me, but they are literally 1' back and 18" down from my listening position. And less than 4' apart.

I agree completely. The addition of a second identical sub in my system provided a more realistic soundstage.

I'm designing a transport that uses anti-gravity to keep the disc spinning at a constant rotational speed, with no motor noise or wow and flutter. So far so good, but the cost of having to fly above the Earth's atmosphere to listen to it may hurt the sales projections.

Disregarding Nate's comment, I very much like the last one. Taking Nate's comment to heart, I like the middle one. Me, I'm an all or nothing guy usually, so I'd spend the money for the one I found most pleasing. Very nice looking build thus far!

That's not always the best answer however. Sometimes a sub can be quite difficult to integrate properly. My old Paradigm Active 20s had a usable bass output down to 40Hz, and really didn't gain all that much by the addition of a subwoofer.

I'm a big fan, and I love "Walk And Talk Like Angels" too. She reaches a new level with her voice on that song. I love the African flavor of Union, and was very surprised at how serious the tone was on House of Hope. Serious but brilliant all the same. I like The Woman's Boat, but much less than the other two. The ESS speakers are worth maybe a grand in excellent condition, but the SAE crap was dirt cheap when new, and for good reason.

IMO the DT990 also scales very little. Even in 600ohm. I had a pair of CD3000s that were modded by Headphile, with deep wooden cups. Those had a fairly similar signature, but scaled much better.
