  1. I am truly at a loss as to why spritzer would get any crap for doing what he does other than from the shill brigade. It is very obvious what his intentions are, and grawk nailed it.
  2. That Samsung phone/camera thing looks to be every bit as cumbersome as just having two pieces that do the job they were intended to do. I really cannot see this type of thing catching on. I would drop the shit out of that thing using it as a phone. If you really try to streamline it for ergonomics, you would most likely sacrifice sensor size and/or quality of glass. I do not know you personally, but I'll just ask anyway: when you are out, do you answer calls and take pictures frequently enough to where changing them depending on situation becomes a pain, or are you just trying to reduce the things you have on you? I very rarely answer my phone (because most people know that I hate talking on the phone), so if I am out and using a camera, I have it in my hands all the time, and it is never a bother. I am guessing that is not you?
  3. I very much would like to see that, Augsburger. Could be quite entertaining.
  4. Happy Birthday, Dusty! Have a good one!
  5. Perhaps ASUS should actually read newegg complaints This guy completely sums up my disdain for the x79 chipset. Here's to x99!!
  6. I found it particularly noteworthy that Knucks deemed a picture depicting consensual oral sex in his thread was too NSFW, but that was not. Knucks, I love what you do, but that .gif above is fucking disturbing. Oh, and oldies, you are a fucking idiot.
  7. Big Boys were all 4-8-8-4s while the Challengers were all 4-6-6-4s (TomB knows that, I'm guessing). I was a huge train nut when I was a kid. Large steam engines were always my favorite. Or you could go all out and check out the Head-Case of steam engines: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triplex_(locomotive) Totally overkill (good) but did not have enough pressure to fully realize the third set of driving wheels for long distances. Still cool as hell.
  8. Does anyone flush out their water heater every 6 months to a year? I hear that really extends the life of them. I've done it twice so far on our new one (old one took a dump), so at least I have that base covered.
  9. Happy Birthday! Damn, you take great photos!
  10. You might as well give up on that one, eggil. It's been that way for a long time, and it's not going back the way it once was.
  11. At any point did he actually listen to the damn music? That's what I hate about these kind of people. It's not about the music; it's about being a gear whore.
  12. Nah, I get you. You are saying Head-Case is about overkill done right: better design, better parts, more quality, refinement, and a lot of learning along the way... it's what DIY is all about. This monoblock amp, on the other hand, is everything that is shit about the audio world: put lipstick on a pig and all the dipshits line up for that fucking lipstick.
  13. Totally my first thought. Paste that shit into a simple text document and then paste here (where it will then be lambasted.) It makes one look more sincere and less spammy. Oh, and first with the JH13 rec! Booyah, suckas!
  14. Jesus, Jude has passed up The Weather Channel for trying sex up the hopelessly regular. As for Amos, his house is actually on Jude's lap... where he belongs.
  15. I just read news that Panasonic is leaving the plasma business soon. Shame. I love mine. I am baffled as to why there has not been a huge breakthrough in screen tech yet. I mean, OLED is nice and all, but I worry about color longevity. SED was supposed to be huge, but that never panned out.
  16. The guy used a ridiculous amount of paste on many of those trials. The goal is to use as little as possible while still getting a good spread. Good luck with the build. One of my favorite things to do... it's been way too long. Good parts choices.
