There were some comments on diyaudio about the dodgy build quality of those things, actually. Haven't heard of any dying yet, but I'm not taking a chance.

On second thought, I'll pass on this one. Its a Rawson clone, which seems to have gained some notoriety on the net for all the wrong reasons.

There's a Pass F3 being sold locally, and I hear they're a "voltage-based" amp. Does this mean they're perfect for Stax transformer boxes? <.< (I am so very, very tempted to pull the trigger on this...)

It is possible to get it out but with Lambdas its very, very hard. You could try your luck by vacuuming the outside of the headphone... be very careful not to damage the protective membrane however.

If you're sure its from the phones', you might have dust inside. Tough luck I suppose.

The EAD DSP-7000 DACs are interesting in that they're based on AD1862, supposedly one of the best R2Rs ever made.

Am I the only one who thinks all of the bug pictures posted here are awesome? I had a black widow set up a nest on my bike after I left it in the shed for a few months. Felt kinda sorry when it got squished

The headbands are known to break easily, I think.

Is it really worthwhile to spend $2.5-3k on a tube output stage with 6SN7s? For that kind of money I was expecting DHTs at least.

Thats what I do anyway. But I have the advantage of having direct line of sight to the local FM broadcasting tower.
