One problem with Tom Bihn: expedited shipping charges. Jebus. I'd love to get a couple of packing cubes for Mayberry, but I'm not willing to spend $1.3 million in shipping. Eagle Creek makes decent packing cubes right? I probably don't need to get too obsessive about packing cube brands...do I?

Shelly, I love the ID and I think it works as a carry-on, but it's not exactly compact. I have shoved it under my the seat, though.

Shelly, that bag looks awesome. I'm a boring suit, or I would snap up that indigo in a second. Also, the Bihn blog notes that they've got a bunch of "ultraviolet" (purple) color fabric that will be finding its way into the larger bags soon.

You're on to something. It's her birthday soon, but she hates non-rollers. And as she travels all the time for business (much more than me these days), but maybe I can place a "bulk" order.

I ran into a bunch of those sites/forums, too. While I tend to agree with a lot of it, some of the approaches really aren't practical for business travel. And by that I mean travel that requires 1-2 suits and shirts that simply can't get wrinkled. Otherwise, though, I like the one bag idea.

Aeropress coffee. So much better than the other crap I've been drinking. So. Much. Better.

You rock, Vicki. Exactly what I was looking for. I broached the topic of needing a new carry-on with the missus. Bad idea. And of course I know much better. Always broach such topics AFTER the purchase, if at all. Anyway, I had hoped to be sporting a new Tristar out west, but no dice. Maybe I'll get some packing cubes, though.

Glad to hear it. Too bad about the ferrite issue, though I bet Wes could be of some help there if necessary. Wes, as for the price increase, it's too bad, but you're certainly not alone. I just got a TTVJ email regarding a substantial Manley increase across the board. Such is life. The Neko DAC is still reasonably priced IMO.

Finished another sour week at my increasingly sour job. Good part was that I spent the whole day with my son yesterday and we frolicked in the snow and all that stuff. I realize that those days are fleeting and precious, so I'm thankful for it.
