what is a sane person going to do with an 18,000 dollar pen??

although i managed to hear it (somehow), i recieved an email saying it's being shipped soon.

i pre-ordered the special edition one, but why not hear it now?? ; ). This album is great, 3 10 min plus songs, i listened through it once today, not quite sure where i put it just yet. My fav albums are scenes from a memory, and awake. Octavarium was pretty cool, the best stuff they did though i think was on awake. I saw pertrucci at g3 a few months ago, his solo stuff is seriously awesome too. He's gotta be the best guitarist by far.

Anyone checking this out? I just fired it up, it's pretty awesome. They are touring this summer too, going to check them out at jones beach in august. Any dream theater fans?

i didn't say I didn't like his service. I think the guy is cool, i was just saying he is a hard man to get a hold of. Anyway, i hardly listen to my headphone stuff, and I don't mind not dropping down 3 grand like I need to sustain some addiction. I had the urge, and it passed. If I really needed an amp, I guess I'd be calling him alot like the other guy. So I do like his bad service. Thanks for helping me not waste a lot of money ; ).

I spoke to mikhail about 4 months ago about a custom amp, he told me he'd get me a quote. Though i haven't been holding my breath, that's the last i heard of it. I guess i didn't need it that bad ; ).

i like my rs1's alot. They are way less forgiving then the lower end grados I noticed... Hf1's can mask lousier ripped mp3s, rs1's sound like ass. RS1's have so much energy, to my ears very smooth, and are fun to have. I don't listen too often anymore, but whenever I get a chance to listen to them it's enjoyable. I do like my hhf1's a bit better though.

for your first distro try out fedora. It's pretty easy to setup... I run debian personally, my distro of choice. If your feeling ambituous try out the debian network install and see if u can learn on your way.

dam thaddy, goign balanced is a huge step. I'm gonna have zach finally recable my rs1 once i get my first pay check... staying single ended tho... not ready to make such a bold step (unless i can find a nice balanced/single ended amp so i dont need to recable everything).
