I'd buy a used set of Quads, I already have (21L), but theres not exactly any other way to get ahold of a 57 model, which is where im going to go one day (and then stack).

The higher budget option is that wacky looking soundlab ministat with the downgrille on the electrostatic driver.

Indeed so, it appears that I was incorrect, theres an active and a passive 9L2, and the L-ite. The L-ite is the home cinema surround speaker and the 9L2 the stereo merket option, although you can buy the L-ites in pairs. The L-ites are smaller. 248 x 152 x 205mm for the 9L2 225 x 135 x 160mm for the L-ite.

That drew several hundred calls to the ASA, there was a very funny article by Robert MCNeil in the Scotsman about it (and other such notable adverts). I persoanlly didn't think it was funny, but thought it was nice that finally people outside of the catering industry could buy Heinz mayonnise, which is nicer than Hellmans.

The Quad 9L is active. You'll need to be looking at the L-ites if youve no loop out.

Get that wooden lambda housing made for the Airbow drivers, then stick the SFIs into the old Airbow housing in a line driver. Presto!

The black frames are friction fit. (Mine arrived today, no can do with them until the second set of Goldrings and the K500 get here).
