  1. Yep. They've done two full kit drummers before (Bruford and Mastelotto) so now three. I'll give up on them when a separate hall is needed for the drummers.
  2. From his diary entry: So, King Crimson is in motion. This is a very different reformation to what has gone before: seven players, four English and three American, with three drummers. The Seven-Headed Beast of Crim is in Go! mode. The 8th incarnation of King Crimson will be Gavin Harrison, Bill Rieflin, Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto, Mel Collins, Jakko Jakszyk and Robert Fripp. Fripp says they should reappear about 1 year from now. I'll be waiting.
  3. Happy Birthday Jim! Hopefully there will be time in your day to have a cocktail while rocking the M22/Moth's. Cheers!!
  4. Gotta tell ya mikey, I love that car. Keep it living so I can admire it some more when I'm next out there.
  5. ATV update has been reposted. Let me know how it works for you guys and then I'll update mine. Update: I installed the new ATV update last night with no issues.
  6. Al, hoping the best for Quest.
  7. Happy Birthday!!
  8. Nice looking little fellow.
  9. Happy Birthday!!!
  10. "That's Not Funny, That's Sick: The National Lampoon and the Comedy Insurgents Who Captured the Mainstream" by Ellin Stein.
  11. I get occasional pain in the toes and balls of my feet. I figure it's gout as that runs in the family. Alfalfa pills have provided some relief for me. Without the pills a bout may last 10-15 days, with the pills, 2-5 days. Not sure if this will help Shelly, but I figured it couldn't hurt.
  12. Actually the FIA lifted his ban and he was free to return in 2013. He said he had no interest in it anymore, so my dream of him at Ferrari is probably never going to happen. Also, I never thought about Maldonado - it makes sense. Part of the reason Kimi left is supposedly because of late payments by Lotus. It's a shame, as the car has been right on the edge of being great these last two years. Hopefully they can stay afloat.
  13. I would think Lotus might want someone younger. Massa has not shown the pace or desire in the last few years. I think his big accident changed him, and why wouldn't it? I know almost losing my life would change me. If I had to guess, I'd say Hulkenberg. And my opinion is Ferrari should have taken him. Alonso probably has one or two more years before he gives it up, and Kimi is old for an F1 driver too. Hulkenberg would have brought some youth to the team, a challenge to Fernando, and would have provided a steady driver going forward after Alonso retires. Ferrari needs to remember how its founder did things. Enzo loved to pit drivers against each other and in many cases it forced the drivers to strive for more. You want to know who should be running Ferrari? He was in their garage a few weeks ago. Not Domenicali, not even Di Montezemelo. You want someone to bring Ferrari back to the top? Hire Flavio Briatore to run the team. Did he cheat at Benneton? Sure. But does he know how to manage a team? You bet your ass. ferrari rant over.
  14. RIP
  15. So.... Kimi back to Ferrari... Next year is going to be VERY interesting.
  16. I found it on Ebay for $13.50. Please note I have not ordered this bit it's in line with what Jacob paid. But as always buyer beware. Additional note: Shipping is $10 and it states it ships for Israel.
  17. Gumball is adapting quite nicely I'd say.
  18. This. Big man when he's raping and torturing women. Not so tough when he had to pay for it. I hope hell is real so that limp dick can burn for eternity in it.
  19. Bryan and Allison came down for a visit today. Had some Dr. Pepper pulled pork (thanks B&A) on ciabatta bread, corn & radish salad and roasted potatoes with a tomato alioli. Drank some beers, whiskey etc. Hung out and just had an excellent time. A great way to finish up the holiday weekend.
  20. You could always go this route Shelly - think of it as exercise. We have my mom's old hand cranked meat grinder. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002L84GJU/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1378066268&sr=8-2&pi=SL75
  21. Condolences Steve. Give them some time and then suggest a visit to an animal shelter. A few tugs at the heart strings and they'll adopt a new kitty.
  22. Took Debbie out for a belated birthday dinner. Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba in Chicago for tapas and paella. Started with a Pintxos platter - chorizo wrapped date & cheese, bacon wrapped shrimp, goat cheese croqueta with lemon gastrique, short rib stuffed paquillo pepper, deviled egg with mustard and bacon and a roasted beet crostini with herbed goat cheese and hazelnuts. Then on to the regular small plates. Rioja-braised short rib, manchego mashed potatoes and squash. That was followed by seared octopus with padron peppers. Next was shrimp with garlic, olive oil and red pepper flakes. Last was spicy potatoes with a tomato alioli. Then came a seafood paella - shrimp, bay scallops, monkfish and green beans. Helping to wash this down was both a peach and raspberry sangria. All of the small plates were delicious, but the paella was bland with mushy rice. Debbie and I agreed that the last paella we made at home was better. So there some good and some blah. Regardless, we had a good time.
  23. Looking like rain here so I'm doing pork chops in cast iron on the stove and Debbie is whipping up a fresh corn and radish salad.
  24. Happy Birthday Jack!!
  25. Nicely said Steve. I go back to the early '80's and am amazed at how much the sport has changed, and yet stayed the same. Spa was an excellent race this year, and I was happy to see Fernando eak out a second place finish. But you guys in California, and maybe even you Antonio, might have heard me praying VERY LOUDLY for rain in those last 10-15 laps. But, it was not to be. Next up, my cathedral - Monza.
