  1. Happy, happy birthday.
  2. Congratulations!
  3. /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ I would recommend not sending any EMI stuff to him since he probably has it anyway.
  4. Very nice Naaman, I think you picked the next meet site for Dan Jam 2010. I think I can get a hall pass for that one.
  5. Probably a hedgefund manager or a VC guy. Screw um big time.
  6. Good news, Metric Halo now makes UNL-2s in green! Oh my!
  7. Depending on your definition of "bought", when I paid for it versus when I got's it. Seasmoke Ten Pinot 1/2 case of Kosta Browne Pinot 1/2 case of Paul Hobbs Vice Versa 3 bottles of Colgin Caderia Some Ojai Sauvignon Blanc, and Viognier six bottles of Glenrothes 1985 six bottle of Peter Michael Suvignon Blanc oh, and a chocolate bar from Whole Foods
  8. Banana yellow for the Monkey, Shamrock green for the Leprechaun, Legal brief grey.
  9. In. I have a lot of my Paula Abdul CDs I would like to share with the gang to help brighten their otherwise mundane lives.
  10. "from a cerebral standpoint why do derive more excitement over this beast than the JH-13? " Uhhhh, the LD-2s have moar woodsey?
  11. Yes Acoustic Zens look and sound mighty nice and Robert Lee is a very nice and approachable business owner.
  12. -Made me tear up a little, click on the video link. Thanks, Veterans!
  13. X2 and thank you for your service.............
  14. RMAF? All those web zine guys were lurking around there.
  15. OOps, wishful thinking on my part, no SACD. Please ignore everything I just stated.
  16. First, X2 what Al and numbs have stated. Now assuming you will totally ignore them for now, and the amount of SACD music available out there is worth it for you, you might take a look again back at PS Audios PWT/Dac combo which will play all formats and eventually AIFF. When the PS Audio Bridge is finally released then you can output all your RB, SACD, and ripped CD collections bit perfectly 24 bit/192 (as I recall) from your computer to your ULN-2 and be set with room to spare on your rack because you sold off all those superflous dacses.............
  17. Well what ever dac chip was in the EMP-1/M playing in the Electrocompanient room at RMAF sounded pretty sweet. Nums and I thought there was a very nice synergy going on in the room. EC is not the best in providing all the details of the innards of their products but Peter, their rep said this model had been "improved" and "upgraded", we were too busy listening to ask further. I definitely left the room wanting the EMP-1 for myself.
  18. What prices have you found for the RME 9652? All my searches come in at >$500.
  19. Well I guess i will give Musiland a try then. Thanks
  20. Icarium, Thanks for the suggestion, it is greatly appreciated. My goal is to have the best most accurate feed from my computer to my balanced dac, to my limited knowledge that means finding some gear that outputs bit perfect from my computer to my dac. My understanding is that with usb to spdif converters the signal is converted but the signal is not converted to a bit perfect signal. So in order to to output a bit perfect signal from my computer to my dac I need 192k output capable sound card, eg Lynx or RME.
  21. Thanks Colin.
  22. Ok, in true Head Case fashion I have decided I need a higher end audio card for my office system. Currently I am running windows XP foobar and iTunes out via usb to my PS Audio balanced dac. The PS Audio dac will sample out to 192 but as you know usb will only go to 96K and I can't seem to get ASIO4all to load onto my computer so the better solution would seem to be to spend some moolah and just take a great leap forward. I am currently acquiring more and more 192K music files so I would like to experience the full extent of what my office system can offer while I am still alive. It seems that Lynx sound cards are highly regarded and can output 192K. There is the Lynx AES16e-SRC, and the Lynx AES16e and the Lynx AES16. Which would you recommend to do the job or would you recommend any particular RME sound cards? Or something else? Thanks for any enlightenment.
  23. OK, but someday you will stop being cranky. Yes, I am joining team JH13, just trying to work out the details of my artwork. It will either look really cool or will be one big WTF? Either way it should be something very different.
  24. Well from brief discussions with people involved and if you look at the posts from people having "issues" almost all issues have to do with the fit of the IEMs. To the extent that the fit comes from the impressions taken by audiologists not JH employees, the competency of the audiologist would seem to be the critical link in this process. I specifically made my appointment with one of JH Audios most experienced audiologists her in Southern California just for that reason.
