What was wrong with the last one? Not enough Plankton?

Anyone see the new $3k on-ear by these guys? Looks to be just a fugly too.

MIL specs are dead nowadays. IPC is typically followed (even in for products going into the MIL industry).

But what about all that damn Plankton on the Schiit DAC? It's "Pirate Approved" don't you know.

What...it's not a great unit to buy? I just bought 3 of them. I love how he can continue to take your $$$ later on as he releases "upgrades". The gift that keeps on giving....to Vinnie that is.

I find adjustable very useful depending on the growth of my beard. If it's a week's worth (if I've been on vacation), then the more open 4 or 5 is perfect. If I'm shaving every day then, 1 or 2 is great. Something I can't get with my Merkur HD. But if one shaves consistently and doesn't use it, then it can be overkill. But isn't this the place of Team Overkill?

^ Nice, I'll have to check that out. For thicker growth, my goto razor is my Merkur Futur (setting of 5).

^^ So the noobs on Head-Fi were wrong? Say it ain't so? As Birgir mentioned, the HD600s have been around for years and years, so why the heck would the HD800s be discontinued? This is Sennheiser not Hifiman.

Mr. Plankton shilled hard for it and the blind noobs followed suit. If the Rag can make the HD800's sound "not bright" and bass heavy, then guess what, it's a dark sounding amp and not transparent.

I've worked in electronics manufacturing for about 15 years now and I am impressed with the Sennheiser facility and processes.

Now compare that to the Grado factory tour video...quite the contrast to say the least!

My mother-in law lives right by the Burton Cummings Community Centre and he's given the odd concert there from time to time. Wow...-33'C is damn cold! My wife and I live in southern Ontario...about 2'C here and no snow on the ground. We had a few inches, but that melted...we actually hit 18'C a few days ago.

Gotta love them Manitoba winters that start in late October. My wife is from Winnipeg. The coldest I've been was one Christmas standing at the corner of Portage and Main. As the song goes..."Portage and Main, 50 below". On a similar note, I actually met Randy Bachman in Polo Place at a Sam the Record Man about 22 years ago. Very nice guy!

My biggest issue with the SR-007 comfort is that I have to pull the earcups down pretty far go get them over my ears. So for us "larger headed users" they aren't the most comfortable. The SR-009s however are very comfortable!
