  1. Yeah, I forgot that I posted that earlier. Sorry about that. The EA-4 is pretty and versatile, but basically an EA-1. My bad.
  2. That line I quoted in my last post reminds me a little of massive attack... "I was lookin' back to see if you were lookin' back to see me lookin' back at you" Yeah, I don't think his newest design is up on the website yet. Hopefully he will be bringing it along with his Omega 2's to my mini-meet this Saturday.
  3. I bow down before your your majesty king fucking pedantness! [seriously, that was a treat to read] Actually, I am not completely sure that is the newest design. I would double check with him first to clarify. Yes.
  4. Nice! Can't wait to hear about the mods. PS. Just realized you can see my Wife in the reflection of the screen.
  5. Funny thing about using that word. It makes you sound like what you are insulting. I don't read it that way at all. Your is also correct when addressing a larger audience. Where exactly can I find 'the buck'? Is it in Yikes' wallet?
  6. Well... both phrases when placed in quotes return 10 pages on Google, so I think it is safe to say that they're both highly used. My primary problem with "bang for the buck" is it makes you sound like an ESL student while "bang for your buck" seems to be a more correct phrasing.
  7. Awesome, can't wait to hear your results.
  8. AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! It's BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!!!!!!!!!! Damnit, I fucking hate that. Cool, sorry if I was insulting with my comment. You might want to contact Peter about his new electrostatic amp design though... he seems pretty confident that it is the 'best EVAR'.
  9. True, but you haven't heard Peter's new amp!
  10. Higher price does not always mean higher performance, but to each their own.
  11. You might want to consider Peter McAlisters new EA-4 amplifier for ~$1k. It sure looks purdy. I am sure he could put a Koss connector on there. www.mcalisteraudio.com PS. I think it is balanced as well, like the Stax amps.
  12. Just buy this! [Or my Lavry of course, that is still for sale... need to get off my butt and put it on audiogon]
  13. Bah, I doubt this is the rescreen's fault. Be carefull with that bluetak... it can do some bad things to the sound as well. Other than that, I think aerius gave you some very good advice there. I knew he would.
  14. Damn, sorry to hear about your problems with the Headphile mods. I've always liked the no cotton, taped back on my pairs. Maybe aerius can provide some more suggestions as he has spent quite a while tweaking his. What type of cable did you go with again?
  15. Damnit... I didn't get it through the Dell Canada deal [~$250 CDN] when I had the chance because I was worried about this and couldn't find any info on it. Looks like I will be kicking myself for missing out now. Did the mini dock come with it or did you have to purchase it as a seperate accessory?
  16. That is the Creative Vision: M right? How is that minidock? Does it stay in alright?
  17. I think my brain just popped... that is weird. I guess I will just go on not bothering with it... too many inversions to calculate... phase unclear... *pop*
  18. Exactly what I thought... and both a straightjacket and a pretzel make sense for this place.
  19. No, I get it... and you even get another free squeezebox. All I am saying is you could spend $300 on a squeezebox and then spend $1700 on a DAC... instead of paying $2000 and getting two squeezeboxes and a $1400 DAC. But to each his own.
  20. Very cool, but at that price it will be hard not to justify going with a DAC and a normal squeezebox. That 2x squeezebox + 1TB NAS storage bundle they have is great too. If only I were rich.
  21. Looks and sounds interesting, thanks.
  22. BTW, you have a message waiting for you KenW.
  23. Here are the pictures. I tried to take a close up shot of the flaw, but it didn't really show up. Just goes to show you how minor it is I suppose. When my Wife saw me taking the picture she asked why I was even bothering since it is hard to see unless you look at it from a particular angle. I like to be as accurate as possible when selling something though. So, as I said before, if you are interested I will sell it to you for $225 plus the actual cost of shipping. Shipping method, insurance, etc is all up to you. I doubt we need to worry about double boxing it or anything, the stock box should suffice. You can pay me the total after I send it.
  24. A bit bigger than a pack of smokes... The tubes are 'lying down'.
  25. Nah, it should look much better than that! More tubes for one... more is allways better as we all know. Thinking about getting Steve [swt61] to craft me a nice bloodwood front panel for it as well. Also, I took the K340 sideplates off of my pair and plan on topping a couple of the metal can caps with them after I paint them black. Figured this would be cool since it is an amp customized for the K340's. It definately won't be as large as an SDS-XLR though. I asked Peter about a two chassis design and he told me that with tube amps it is better to have everything in the same box. Bastard!
