MDR-CD3000 vs ATH-W11jpn Impressions [ 56k = DiE :( ]
riceboy replied to wrecked_porsche's topic in Headphones
I like the HD650s with the Zu cable as I did try the Black Dragon, Blue & Silver Dragon, and Cardas and I too like the Zu for the HD 650 a bunch more. It sounds great to my ears as well. -
Yeah, sorry for the small pic as I couldn't find a bigger one. It is a regular RCA Victor Red label Heifetz. I'll be listening to it later
-
Got these two in today: Bruch: Concerto for violin in Gm; Scottish Fantasy Heifetz
-
Thanks for the suggestion. I think I'll try it out sometime

Have a great Birthday

Played some Call of Duty World at War. So far I am enjoying the game.

The last drive was a disaster after the Hill to Hill completion. When they were down on the 2 with 44 seconds they took 24 seconds to spike the ball. For some reason and I'm not sure who called this, but they decided to change personnel instead of just running up to the line and spiking the ball. Also I just saw this article which is making more sense on why they called that FB draw (which I didn't like that call as I think Gore should have had the ball if they really wanted to run it). But the article linked explains a lot for me as to what was some of the confusion. I hope they can take the positives of that game and move forward. Overall, watching that game really hit me with a sick and disappointing feeling . I do like how Singletary got his guys really to play against a divisional opponent with the best Offense in the NFL that was supposed to steam roll over the Niner defense. Singletary: Officiating confusion hampered 49ers in ugly loss

I too would like to humbly thank all veterans who served and kept out country free and safe. I salute you all.

Oh Snap!!! Run, run, run, run, run, run, pass touchdown. I'm really liking this
-
Phew... 1st quarter is done and the highest offense in the land is getting 3 and outs for now. I hope they can keep it up. How about the run vs pass calls for the Niners. I like it.

Very nice Mike and Congrats
-
SP SDS from Icarium. Can't wait to hear it with the R10s
-
Well I hope my team the Niners can put up a relatively good showing against the Offensive firepower of the Cardinals. They are ranked number 1 in the league and the D for the Niners need some help.
-
Ouch and double ouch. I was lucky and picked up the Jets on D this week and Bo Scaiffe (TE). Those two alone helped carry me through to next week

NKOTB - TTVJ/Millett 307A Headphone Amp
riceboy replied to n_maher's topic in Headphone Amplification
Yes it does rock. Thanks Ryan for your impressions of the TTVJ. It is a damn fine amp -
I have a Sansa Clip and use it 5 times a week when I go running about an hour or so. I too use the JVC Marshmallows which I was going to recommend to you, but I see you don't like them. I actually have to get a good seal for them to sound good which isn't a problem that much for me. I tried using the KSC75 but like yourself the ambient noise is too great. Maybe E2Cs. I haven't used them for running, but you might be able to get a better seal with them because of the selection of tips

What is even more interesting is I know some people personally who loop the Taliban and Iraq together as well. They feel that terrorism has diminished because we went into Iraq. I feel that couldn't it be other issues that stopped us from getting attacked on U.S. soil again like homeland security and other measures taken to lessen the chance of another attack? I agree with you that George Bush's popularity was triggered by the belief when information being fed to us, first by Powell when he presented the CIA finding to the U.N. about weapons of mass destruction to the time we invaded and removed Saddam from power. But again it amazes me when folks think that the war was the right thing to do today when we didn't find any weapons of mass destruction, we destabilized the area, took away Saddam who kept Ahmadinejad in check, and cost the U.S., our allies, and the Iraqi people countless lives.

Very nice. Thanks for the info

MDR-CD3000 vs ATH-W11jpn Impressions [ 56k = DiE :( ]
riceboy replied to wrecked_porsche's topic in Headphones
Hey Wrecked P . Sorry that I didn't state it earlier but the CD3000 isn't balanced with the GS-X. I never heard a balanced CD3000 in my system so I wouldn't be able to comment on how much it would improve the sound. Just guessing, but it will improve the sound I'm sure, but the sonic signature of the can would probably be the same but YMMV. I don't notice a treble spike with the GS-X but with the Headroom Ultra Desktop amp and upgraded power supply I did notice a treble spike. I do like the detail and punch the HR amp gives them, but I just like the GS-X a bit more with these cans for my ears. It all depends on you of course. My friend actually like the punch and dynamics more on the HR amp than the GS-X so everyone is different . But both amps are great IMHO and I enjoy each of them differently with this can. Best of luck on your headphone journey. -
Hey Jack. I agreed with you four years ago, I agreed with you 8 years ago, and I agree with you now. George W. Bush and his team smeared the crap out of Senator McCain 8 years ago and I favored him then over Bush, but unfortunately the Republicans had their man. I remembered telling my then girlfriend, now wife that I wish that McCain got the nod for the Republican ticket 8 years ago and was sad that he didn't. Overall, it was a landmark occasion either way of the aisle with either party making history. I'm just happy that the party I was pulling for made that history last night

I presently surprised by the large victory and with the outcome tonight. America finally got it right tonight!
