  1. I would get ksc-35's and a shuffle. Or hf-1's with something like Aerius's setup (diy p-p transformer based tube amp + modded vintage cd player). Biggie.
  2. Sweet, I should have sent my rs-1's to apuresound. ^^ Biggie.
  3. It very well could have been $50 + shipping. Anyways, it was much less than $275. Biggie.
  4. What, what a ripoff. When these were selling NOS for $100 a few years ago on head-fi they were not worth it then. I would rather listen to a shuffle. Certainly this does not compare to classics such as d303, d515, d555 etc. Biggie.
  5. I did it because people kept asking me what gear I owned, even though they could have easily just clicked my profile. Biggie.
  6. Happy birthday. :kitty: Biggie.
  7. Can I be in your will. Biggie.
  8. Well it was originally invite only. Biggie.
  9. I have an rs-1. Not stock though. :'( I'm in meet withdrawal. Biggie.
  10. I was gonna recommend beyer 250-80 before I read your post. Biggie.
  11. Ehhh, keep them away from me then. Biggie.
  12. I have the small o-getter, large o-getter and d-getter versions of the amperex 7316 short plates. They have excellent prat, but sound a little bright in my system. The mids are warm and clear. They are nice tubes, but not worth paying a premium for. I prefer the telefunken's 12au7's I purchased from Dr. Gilmore because they have a more balanced sound. The 7316's midrange is superior however. The orange globe 7316's are a good beginner tube. Biggie.
  13. Until they break. Then your fucked. Biggie.
  14. Lol. Its a party didn't you know? ^.^; Biggie.
  15. I did basically the same thing, except they continued to sound like crap, so I sold them and got some ksc-35's. Now that is a good headphone. Biggie.
  16. I would make platonic man love to Zanth. Hmmm I just blew my own mind. Biggie.
  17. Quick, somebody call Kelly. Biggie.
  18. Its not just the pads, but the whole upstream of equipment that account for the amount of bass coming out of them grados. Oh and you can't forget the recording. Biggie.
  19. Hench the reason for squishing the bowls. Biggie.
  20. I dunno if its the recableing or just the nature of my rs-1's, but my ps-1's with bowls sound brighter in the highs then my rs-1's with squished bowls. My gf also found this to be true. Nothing boosted or screechy going on. And the midbass becomes too much in my system with the flats. And if I wanted air in my headphones, I would own stax. Biggie.
  21. Aerius your findings aren't surprising.^^ My rs-1's came with original flats, but yeah, I'm rockin squished bowls ftw. Biggie.
  22. Sounds like a 909 post. ie. playing both sides and nobody knows where you stand because you are just blathering garbage Biggie.
