Or lack thereof... I've never listened to Satriani (other than the thing he is suing Coldplay over). As for shredders (is that the term?), do bands such as Dragonforce (IIRC) fit more or less under this category?

Anyone know of a utility that can reset a USB port? Occasionally I will plug something into one of the keyboard ports that draws too much power and it will be disabled. I've also had the front USB port (PowerMac dual G5) be disabled (not sure what one of the kids did to this ), but a restart cleared it.

That might be the first time I've laughed all day! Damn, that sucks, but great story!

Whatever happened with Barry and his Capitole? I've seen him around here occasionally, but never heard...

I was guessing more like this.

Manuel, I don't recall whether Marc said who he got these from, but I seem to recall Germany... if so, I would start with a diyaudio user named Promethius.

Is that $43 per device, or $43 for a stereo differential front end? Cuz if you could even find the 109/389, you would be paying at least that much for 2 pairs of them...

The ST-70 has a pretty good reputation, and IIRC was designed by David Hafler. I've never owned one, but did have some Hafler amps before and they were good. As for price, the $300 seems kinda steep for a Dynaco, but I have not looked at pricing on these in a long time. Is it stock, or has it been modified/upgraded? I seem to recall there being some modification kits and parts floating around; I'd take a look on audioasylum to see what you might find out.

I guess I'm not up on the history of gaincards/gainclones, etc. There is alot of traffic on diyaudio regarding gainclones. For ML's offering: 2900 or 3300 Euro for a fucking chipamp? Bend over... and not even a kiss first

x n+1! What a great pic! And do I spot a couple of pairs of Music Posts on the back of that thing? -
But you would welcome him pushing Rudistor?

Best all-in-one printer/scanner/copier?

I have our Canon plugged into the Linksys router via Ethernet. I can scan, print etc. all over the house wirelessly. So, yes, you should be able to use the Ethernet connection if it can plug into a router. -

It's pretty hard to go wrong with a laser if you can find one that fits your budget. Glad you found something you like! When I bought the Canon, I couldn't find a laser cheap enough, since like you, we needed color for the kids particularly. Still on my first set of cartridges also. -
Damn, that sucks Deepak. I hope you get your power back sooner than predicted!

I bought a Canon MP970 a few months ago (with a rebate, but can't recall how much it was, probably ~$150) that I have been very pleased with. Had a couple or three Epsons before this that just sucked. -
Looking back at the posts, from 12/10 6:20pm until yesterday, 12:00 something pm when Sherwood came to your defense, I don't see anything that could be construed as being an attack on you. Actually, almost all of what occurred until you went ballistic also could not be construed as an attack on you. Difference of opinion, yeah.

OK..... yeah, that's nice... looks good on those phones though.

Yes, I know the feeling (just not recently)

Holy shit! Merry Christmas!

This a new one Pete? Ooohhh, break-in Klaus is fun to talk to, is he not? And you are getting a really good solid product, particularly for the price. When you get it, I would guess you will have a hard time figuring out how they sell these this cheap, as they are built very well.

Sorry to hear about your troubles Nate. I'm hoping for the best for you (and your pipes... etc.). Chris

Are there multiple umbilicals on this or just one? Even with multiple cables, Amp makes many different connectors, so it would be quite possible to use different ones for each cable to make it impossible to do it wrong. A little thought into the cable wiring (pin 1 to pin 1 on each end, etc.) will also make it immune to putting the cable in in the wrong direction. Little things like that. Little things that I would expect in a $1000 ANY amp.

If he's not musically trained, he won't know what an A major or minor or whatever chord is. So of course not. That doesn't mean that he could not have perfect pitch however.
-
My mom has perfect pitch, and it does annoy her at times (she is a musician). She can tell you what pitch it is (A, B-flat, etc.) and also approximately how sharp or flat it is. Neither my twin brother or I have it, but we are/were both musicians as well. I have very good relative pitch, but apparently that can be learned.

Sounds like you need to do a Lucas fuse mod; specifically the 1482A slow blow one... You get that thing running in the 3A fuse blow mode, its gotta sound way moar better, right?
