  1. Twice, so he can hear it in stereo.
  2. It's CJ's amp and he should be the one to open it. That way nobody has to feel bad if they scratch somebody else's amp. CJ could remove the screws before giving it to you so you could post pictures. I doubt that they would show a problem though.
  3. I suggest not sending the amp to Mikhail as long as the problem is intermittent. Mikhail takes long enough to fix a known problem and may take a long time by his measure to debug this problem. You're doing the right thing by letting Mike take it for a while. Also, if you want to your engineering buddy to take a look at it, you can open it up so he doesn't have to worry about scratching your amp. You'll need a 1/16" hex wrench to get the screws out. Just be sure that the amp is not plugged in and has been off for several hours so that the caps have all had time to discharge. Then don't touch anything inside the amp anyway.
  4. Longer. He'll love the sound of this so much that he'll hold onto it for 3 or 4 months. I mean he'll really love it.
  5. I've heard Other. And it's definitely the best.
  6. Congrats on the amp Mike. It should showcase your new source very well.
  7. That was a pretty smart move to buy this source, especially for a lawyer. I can't believe that it lasted as long as it did. Did you get any extra tubes, etc. with it?
  8. Grilled filet mignon with grilled vegetables. Unhealthy eating ain't bad either.
  9. I just hope that they make enough of them.
  10. A cheapo Winchester pocket clip knife to tide me over until I can get a good knife.
  11. The high today in SB is about 69F. It feels warmer than that to me. We've had an incredibly warm autumn so far. It's unnatural.
  12. I don't know EBay that well so I'm guessing, but I'm willing to bet (a little) that was because your shipping address was in MA. I think that if you would have given an NH shipping address, no tax would have been added.
  13. Hey Tyll. I know that you guys are great with amplifiers and such, but I highly doubt that you have the skill to fix Dan.
  14. Can't you just bribe a New Hampshire (or closer) HC'er, have the dealer ship it there and pick it up? It's got to be cheaper than paying Mass sales tax.
  15. I have jp#'s old eXemplar 2900 now. I love it. It's by far the best Redbook CD player that I've owned and it holds its own against any CD setup I've heard. You have to spend a lot more to significantly beat it. The bad thing about it is if something goes wrong with it, you have to send it back to eXemplar to have it fixed as most repair people don't want to mess with a modified unit. The good news is that eXemplar's customer service is quite good and turnaround time is short.
  16. I just ordered mine from Amazon.

Looks good to me. I was camping this weekend and somebody brought one of these: It was quite tasty though I would have preferred it to be dark chocolate rather than milk chocolate.

    Deals

I agree. This has been a disappointing post Thanksgiving shopping season for me so far. We're waiting for the prices of the Samsung LN-40A650 to drop. So far, they haven't. In fact, one of my favorite stores actually raised their price a little. No big deal though. We're patient and the prices will come down soon enough. It's not like we desperately need this anyway.
  19. Nice fun! Though the B22 makes for a perfect "minimalist" office set up.
  20. Happy Birthday Gene. I didn't think that you even aged. Have a good one anyway!
  21. Happy Birthday!
  22. Happy Birthday!
  23. Thanks. I think that knife might be just a little too full-featured for me.
  24. Drumsticks.
