  1. My take on a Bourbon Collins 2 oz bourbon 1/2 oz simple syrup 3/4 oz fresh lemon Shake and add to glass with a few ice cubes. Top off with a couple ounces of soda (I used the top of my three part shaker). I think I nailed this one. A bit overkill using the Vintage probably, but it's nice and worth it. It's a light drink, probably would be nice with Apple Jack.
  2. A fine, fine cocktail:
  3. I've always liked the 656. Not too picky, but not looking to spend a lot if I can help it. Small is nice, my Tag is just about the right size.
  4. I'd love to find a deal on a used Sinn. Mike, if you ever get the itch to sell....
  5. Shelly: I read somewhere that the new bottle has changed recipe. Maybe at Ministry of Rum website. I'd be curious to compare.
  6. It is. I have perfected the recipe. I use 2-2.5 oz rum, 1 tsp fine sugar and half a lime, cut into eights. Muddle the limes and sugar, stir, add crushed ice, add rum. Lightly stir and garnish with a lime wheel.
  7. Caipirissima Still my favorite dark rum. Even compared with Goslings and Meyers, the others I've tried. Yummy.
  8. I also had an Espolon margarita and some straight. I am a tequila simpleton, as I didn't mind it straight at all. Mixed was great too.
  9. Caipirinha
  10. Vintage Bourbon Monte Carlo... With a dash of orange bitters.
  11. The WES is indeed "mind blowing".
  12. If I understand what Nevod is asking correctly, I think the answer is yes, it will work and likely sound better than how the BHSE for example is wired using a single depletion mode MOSFET. I'm not sure what adjustments will need to be made though, other than jus setting the dc offset properly, assuming there is sufficient range in the circuit already.
  13. I like the stuff too. Try a Hanky Panky

  15. Yes! We have it here! I haven't seen the other post, but I'll find it and reply there. I found another liquor store here that is independent and has a few interesting things that our Spec's doesn't have. It's worth checking out for sure. Really long, sad, story short but I'll likely only get one more "non staple" booze order in this year. I'm putting a wish list together and checking it twice
  16. Well, -ish... Dolin Dry, Dolin Blanc, Vya Extra Dry and Cocchi Americano.
  17. Well, I think I like the Punt e Mes better, but it's open for debate. Also, a White Lady with Meyer Lemons.
  18. Ooooh more science!
  19. Gran Classico Negroni Man, this is fantastic. Each ingredient was the perfect choice. On a side note, I'm down to only 2 sweet vermouths and 4 dry vermouths!
  20. I'm pretty sure you were kidding, but this isn't a very good idea on very many levels. If you do decide to do it, get a toaster oven from salvation army or such, as you're not going to be able to really use it for food thenceforth, due to the stuff that's released from the board and then "seasons" the oven...
  21. Rhum Old Fashioned
  22. For science!!
  23. Sweet! Did you notice that the blanco and Reposado are the same price? That's a little strange. I had some Partida Reposado at a bar today. It's pretty good, but initial taste says the Casa Noble is better. I will likely try the Anejo though.
