  1. in your opinion, what's a reasonable connector to use with DSD and other serial audio signals. cat-5? Assume that the runs will be very short, and proper precautions are taken on each end of the connector.

  7. I really like the WM8741
  8. This is video we are talking about.
  9. Why not just use two long pairs of shielded stereo RCA cables? I bet you can find those cheaper.
  10. just want to check one things. The wire holes are .06" and the test points are 0.08"? Any other test points, other than the marked locations that make sense to add a terminal? ground perhaps?
  11. It's pretty hard to find something that isn't functional for that use.
  12. Trendsetter How close? At least what the LSK389 specs as max diffference.
  13. That's correct for the PTP3. I'm not positive about the hex screw, it could be that the stops are used and the friction of the tire on the spindle keeps it in place and effectively against the stop. Regardless, I'm not doing it that way so I didn't look into it very much.
  14. The previous versions have a mechanism to set stops for different speeds. I'm not sure about the most current version. You still need to remove the platter and potentially loosen and retighten a set screw. This allows adjustement to a different diameter on the motor spindle.
  15. four would take up a lot of room on the two cups.
  16. Yeah, it hates fat partitions.
  17. I'm eating Edam and Wheat Thins. I want bread though now
  18. I've heard they sound better too!
  19. They are damn fast, I have to give them that. Of the three above, they win on the bread category. I like Italian meats, which they don't have great meat compared to Jersey Mikes, but the bread is that extra bit chewy which is badass.
  20. I like JJ perhaps not as much as Jersey Mikes or Potbelly, but it's a close third.
  21. Shit I have a couple those. My daughter loves "keta kitty" as she calls it.
  22. Heh, that's an interesting way to put it. Well, if you do, good luck!
  23. The best trimmers hands down are the Vishay 1280G. It's a bulk metal, PCB mount type and far superior sounding to cermet or plastic conductor (IMHO and all that): http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=3&ved=0CCsQFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.vishaypg.com%2Fdocs%2F63056%2F12801285.pdf&ei=FaL7TOzADYX7lwfq18WMBQ&usg=AFQjCNFeFMvx8XOkF-gFhxHMLpJlr2bPWg&sig2=Yz8nxy7IX3V9P3v5HkXncw I worry about metal end caps. I'm okay with that foible. Regardless of metal end caps, carbon film resistors will be an order of magnitude noisier than their metal film counterparts.
  24. He removed his last name and place of current employement. Standard practice I hear in NYC these days.
