  1. hmm. lots of options. Which of the "green" hard drives do you guys recommend? Something like the WD10EVDS?
  2. I like the idea that the Bone can run Android. Thanks Grahame, I may have found my solution So, I might just try the Bone + ReadyNas
  3. hmmm. so, looking at the HDX, it can download torrents, right? What about the HDX Bone?
  4. thanks tkam. I would like something reasonable small (fanless a plus). I would think under $500 would be my target without harddrives.
  5. So, now I'm in a similar situation as Doug. I have three main needs: 1.) Squeezecenter 2.) Torrents 3.) 1080p playback via HDMI Things like the Zotac, VIA ARTiGO, and other nettops are one option that can give me 1-3 above, or something like a Netgear ReadyNAS that can do 1-2 and provide RAID in a small formfactor. If I were to go with a nettop, any recommendations on processor and video?
  6. cool. I'm a little miffed that there wasn't more communicated to first generation adopters, but hey I'm just a cranky consumer..
  7. how are you calculating this headroom exactly? peak divided by continuous? For example, how much headroom does a Pass F4 have? (sorta a trick question, but hey...) For example, are you considering when a class A amp slides into class AB as running out of headroom? (I wouldn't)
  8. more watts, less gain
  9. is there a way you can show all hi def netflix streaming titles? Do you have to also purchase the Blu Ray add-on to get access to these downloads?
  10. Ha, quite the cunning linguist yourself!
  11. that's not quite a shocker to me....
  12. There are a bunch of standard calibration files for the WM61A that get pretty close. They are not in fact flat from 10Hz to 20kHz+ though out of the box, that's what I was getting at
  13. are you saying they're flat with compensation files that are usually provided, or without? I already know the answer, as I had a modded one calibrated
  14. cool. I'm not sure how well bias lighting (Ideal-Lume, etc.) would work in my case, as I only have 1-2" around the edges. I guess it will help if I had a pic to post... will do soon. Thanks Reks!
  15. I'm pleased with the G25.. I somehow thought Netflix was avaiable now (I knew Skype was coming soon) but I'll just continue to use my Samsung player for that guess. After hell getting the cabinet installed and what not, I think it looks pretty damn good. Pics this weekend after I finish the last few things. I'm debating on adding lighting to the back of the panel. What do you guys think?
  16. unsubscribed
  17. for me it isn't a matter of liking them sonically. it's a matter of them being comfortable and will I use them.
  18. Has anyone here gotten the JH13 as their first custom IEM?
  19. Mike: Did you check to see if the records were really circuit boards?
  20. that's insane man :/
  21. I'd say it would be indistinguishable. Even better is if said mediocre engineer designed both pieces of gear that are being connected.
  22. fair enough. my point is that most are badly engineered, hence the prevalent statement that one is better than another*. By badly engineered I mean not designed by a RF engineer. * I don't believe this 100%, who am I kidding. People hear what they want to hear.
  23. sorta reminds me of this book: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0439104319/$%7B0%7D
  24. badly engineered
