  1. Merely a stain on the great bed spread of life I suppose...
  2. I found one more good backing piece, one loose fitting backing piece with holes in a different mounting position, and have 4 normal bias telfon inserts with pins.
  3. yeah Reks that totally works, thanks! I somehow figured get info would be a read only type of info, and never tried that option... ah the days of youth when we brute forced everything in an application to figure things out.....
  4. cool, I've been waiting for someone to recommend one of these. Do you have some sort of cradle to mount the device picked out? Can anyone tell me how to manually associate album art in iTunes? 80% of my stuff doesn't get picked up by the "find album art" button, and I'd like to manually add them...
  5. I'll answer with a question. What's the difference in sound between a good fit and bad seal? It's like another small percentage of that diference all over again, in my opinion. Not to mention comfort and durability and aesthetics.
  6. yeah, waiting for funding right now... and debating on whether or not to head over there and use the fact that I social engineered the garage code to get in before we get the keys
  7. very soon, this once I figured out how to get it home: Woodcraft is going to honor the 10% off Jet, Powermatic thingy they were having a while back.. which is strange, as it's not on their website, but looks like they'll be hooking me up. This the next model up from the one Dr. Wood recommended, which gives a total of 12" native resaw capacity with no riser block, and a two speed drive system. From talking around, people recommended the two speed for metalworking. The speeds are 1500/3000 SFPM with a 105" blade. Also, has a blade guard that the lower model didn't as well as blade tracking window, which seems handy. Anyways, I'm really excited about getting my second star on my man card.. I heard the main requirement was a 250 lb tool for the second star... ... oh and a house.
  8. crazy talk I say
  9. please enclose two Ayre MX-R clones for me. k thx bye moar pics here: [url=http://blog.livedoor.jp/morohide/archives/51668266.html]
  10. in fact, I already am planning on trying that out great minds and all that...
  11. see, I tried to start that FOTM.. it didn't work. People just said, "that's so krmathis"....
  12. welcome to the curse. I have to keep up appearances though, but yeah that's a struggle for me. The KGSS is better in this regard than either the BH or BHSE to my ears. If the nextgen solid state amp ever materializes, I'd have very high hopes for that design.
  13. thanks guys for the kind words. I now have four remaining. I also have a few that could be used in PCB mount applications at a discount, if someone was game for that (no backing piece).
  14. 8020 has an idea book that contains all sorts of rack ideas. I would shoot them an email and see if you can get a copy... Great place to buy angled aluminum as well and large pieces of aluminum, such as blocks, etc. They also have an eBay store that sells among their main line, cut offs and seconds..
  15. yea, the Eos and Rio look pretty sweet... either would be a really cool setup to listen to, those if I had to choose one it would be the Eos.
  16. Kevin, I think the term you are looking for is "cap garden"...
  17. What does PRAER mean to you? For me it is: Problem Report and Enhancement Recommendation. Time to send in Reks.
  18. do it man!
  19. see I was going to be funny and quote jamato8's signature... but then, I entered a parallel universe in which he didn't have a signature, and now I'm lost and cannot get out and being attacked by kittehs... and stuff
  20. playing with switching supplies again? those are bad for your health ya know..
  21. you really need to get a decent amp...
  22. Cool stuff Nate. I especially like the digital depth gauge, that seems extremely handy. Hope it's not too hard to assemble and get dialed in, though.. that could be a PITA. I really like my little slide vise, but it looks like a cheap Chinese toy compared to that
  23. cool stuff Nate. What sort of things would you expect to be able to do with this?
  24. I recently got another modded ortho in the mail from dbel84. I'm so amazed that I need to get a second opinion on this one I haven't tried out damping option B, but I'm hoping to help some help in this department, as I'm going to be real busy for the next couple weeks.. anyways, amazing stuff and perhaps someone else will post on this very headphone soon, after hearing it on a certain beta22
