  1. yea, the Eos and Rio look pretty sweet... either would be a really cool setup to listen to, those if I had to choose one it would be the Eos.
  2. Kevin, I think the term you are looking for is "cap garden"...
  3. What does PRAER mean to you? For me it is: Problem Report and Enhancement Recommendation. Time to send in Reks.
  4. do it man!
  5. see I was going to be funny and quote jamato8's signature... but then, I entered a parallel universe in which he didn't have a signature, and now I'm lost and cannot get out and being attacked by kittehs... and stuff
  6. playing with switching supplies again? those are bad for your health ya know..
  7. you really need to get a decent amp...
  8. Cool stuff Nate. I especially like the digital depth gauge, that seems extremely handy. Hope it's not too hard to assemble and get dialed in, though.. that could be a PITA. I really like my little slide vise, but it looks like a cheap Chinese toy compared to that
  9. cool stuff Nate. What sort of things would you expect to be able to do with this?
  10. I recently got another modded ortho in the mail from dbel84. I'm so amazed that I need to get a second opinion on this one I haven't tried out damping option B, but I'm hoping to help some help in this department, as I'm going to be real busy for the next couple weeks.. anyways, amazing stuff and perhaps someone else will post on this very headphone soon, after hearing it on a certain beta22
  11. Many of you know that I make and sell these. The price is $25 each shipped at PayPaled, add $2.50 per order for international shipping. Please specify pro or normal bias. Please PM if you're interested, I have a limited quantity left at this point.
  12. can you try 3x 6SN7 for example?
  13. I was going to say dry... which isn't bad, but seems to describe the b22 as I hear it. Anyways, cool beans. Since I need to mail you something anyways, would if something that didn't require any work (okay, maybe a small amount) showed up in the box? This is the good kind of work though that doesn't require a trip to the shop and can be done in the comfort of your room with a screwdriver
  14. what tubes are you trying? I'd try to get the gain as low as possible, by tube selection...
  15. nice proverbial mouse drop... you're going to start a stampede! .. or at least as much of a stampede as is possible with a single baby elephant and a viking...
  16. That's what I figured.. But, they are not made to use a nut. There are two different versions (from the Neutrik website): Standard: selftapping TAPTITE
  17. So, if if warm is to the right of neutral, what's to the left of neutral? Whatever that is, I'd wager that's what the beta22 is.
  18. I don't understand what the problem is with the bottom hole... you mean that a nut won't fit? Anyways, I use these all the time. I just grab a 4-40 or M3 socket head screw and torque them down.
  19. There are a lot of much better options out there than Artic Silver. Here are two: http://www.aavidthermalloy.com/products/options/ultrastick.pdf Home
  20. I find it funny that just about every amp is "very different" than a beta22 when paired with the K1000. And by every amp, I mean two.
  21. Loosing fingers seems to run in the family It's about a 50/50 "split" between sharp knives and power tools though, so up until now I've avoided both.
  22. Lalalalalala...
  23. please keep me out of that conversation. I don't know what I'd use it for, so I'm blissfully ignorant. I'm saving up my pennies for a saw at the moment, once we get moved to the new place and all...
  24. How much wiggle room do you have in the spindle to pivot measurement?
