  11. Think about for example a high current power amp that uses paralleled MOSFETs in push-pull configuration that manages to use a pair of CRC supplies glued together and get almost no DC offset...
  12. well, if you're talking about differing deltas, then once the offset is zeroed, it won't fluctuate much. You'll have asymmetric clipping of course, but I don't think anyone is debating that point either. I'm more alluding to the rails tracking at different rates, let's assume no servo. SPICE is great for this, and that's what I used initially. Also, I had a few e-mails back and forth with Brian from TPA, as he was the one who initially challenged me to find a DC coupled amp, whose DC offset drifts (appreciably) with rails drifting at different rates. Again, distortion, clipping, etc. aren't a factor in this discussion, just DC offset. I suppose it depends how much you changed the output voltage on your bench supply? I'll see what I can dig up on my computer

  19. I'm surprised that there isn't a way to make the changes permanent in this "router" that you speak of. Short of figuring out how to do that, you're choices are pretty limited, to perhaps inserting another firewall somewhere in the chain, or using another computer to DoS his XBOX If it's the audio that's bothering you, well, this is a headphone forum after all.

  22. Doug: Unfortunately, I don't have a cheap alternative. What I do have is a really cool product that is expensive Check out EAR Isoloss Sandwhich Mounts. Here's a link to the EAR/3M website: http://www.earsc.com/images/Category/img1-388.gif Percy sells them on page 19 on his catalog, but it's possible to order them direct for about half that, IIRC. Not sure if they will still sell direct, but I have purchased Isodamp sheets in bulk for EAR as well as other nifty things.
