  1. Looks like you have the same output voltage as my source, 2vrms balanced. What's the b22 gain (balanced) again? Yours isn't the modded one with the Lundahl transformers, is it?
  2. yes, I totally 1000% agree.
  3. ya, I had a feeling you should have upped the gain the beta22.. how are your orthos? I cannot remember the name of your source, but will the buf32 have higher voltage output?
  4. Is the K1000 + b22 a pretty common combination? I really have no idea...
  5. ah, pwnage like it was 1990 again

    huh? ya mean calf fries?
  8. yay! I had a feeling it would work Now, we need to get them back before Saturday so we can get swt61 comments on the changes as well!
  9. Yeah, I'm betting 15 days or so. I used a normal thermocouple to do the final tweaking for your F5. Those heat sinks are very nice. It does help that there isn't an enclosure per se The reason this is handy is for measuring the temperature of the tab on TO-3P devices, for example. I never had the surgeon's hand to do this with my thermocouple, as I always assumed it could easily short the tab to the case given a slight mishap. I was thinking about getting a Fluke, but didn't know for sure if I could sell the thing based on taking the kid's temperature and baking alone. If I could have gotten those two applications, it would have been an easy sell.
  10. China special: Non-Contact IR Infrared Digital Thermometer -32C-300C - eBay (item 270449341196 end time Sep-28-09 14:10:13 PDT) I hope it doesn't suck. Price was right.
  11. interesting. I'd love to fit some leather pads on there... perhaps from that j$ guy or something.
  12. nice work! with regard to the pads, I'm assuming there aren't any off the shelf substitutes around?
  13. Miles Davis that doesn't make you think a hole has been bored into your head with laser precision
  14. Miles Davis that doesn't cause you to wince a bit.

what, is this the looser bracket for American Idol?
  16. Has anyone here heard anything with the Strathearn drivers? Kinda a bit before my time. I've found some interesting info in US patent 4,156,801, sorta cool read for the planar dorks among us. Anyone know if this ribbon takes the "most difficult to drive" award? 0.35 ohm nominal impedance (without the associated transformer box), I'd think that easily wins... Some of the DIY amplifiers to drive this were pretty cool in and of themselves. Yes, direct drive a flat 0.35 impedance (250 Hz - 20kHz) Anyways, seems one of the rare things that the interwebs never "rediscovered".
  17. I think it might work. I'm not sure I'd risk it though.
  18. roll of quarters in lieu of the shovel these days?
  19. Looks like your access was corrected.
  20. sure that's fair. It was just a funny juxtaposition I bet the F3 will be more or less superseded by the new amp though.
  21. mailed. Included another item you forgot about most likely as well that I ran across. Gratis, unless of course I'm short a thermistor in the next day or so when I'm finishing up a pair of monoblocks
  22. ha! It's rather crowded amongst all the power JFET amps out there. That would be a grand total of one design, and one the way.
  23. Good price to even harvest those nice XLR connectors for other cables.
