Is it really possible to draw 100mA from the 10M90S?

	meh. Kandinsky?

Lol. It is 104F with 30% humidity here. I dropped a package in the mail today to enable Colin. I figure this is always a good thing

Either condition will make the entire statement false. Simple grammar my friend.

At what age are you able to buy something like that?

	nice find Steve!

Do they need any voltage gain? What about a simple buffer?

Working on a new panel... what do you think?luvdunhill replied to luvdunhill's topic in Do It Yourself So, working on another panel. This time, everything is PCB mounted. Unfortunately, I cannot get everything to look just right. I'm using a PCB mounted DACT attenuator, and due to the slots in the extrusion, I cannot get it exactly to be at center. Also, I have two switches on the front that are used to control input section. One on the left and one on the right. My question is, what sort of text to I put above / around the switches? On the rear, I label one input "A" and the other input "B". The toggle goes up and down, not side to side. I cannot find anything that looks right to me. I have "Left Input" and "Right Input" over the switches and nothing else at the moment. I'll post the panel later on, as somehow FPE crashed and I lost my work ...

SSMH kit from Tom. What an insanely good value. I cannot remember the last time I bought a full kit, and it serves as a gentle reminder of the insane number of parts that go into even the most simple builds. The packaging is hands down the best I've ever seen, including anything I've attempted through my various group buys. I nominate Tom B. to put together some T2 kits

did you just swap parts, or did you also ensure the part changes didn't cause instability? Looks from Doug's analysis that this requires more care than the typical "modder" is willing to take...

ok, to answer Doug's question, the case from FPE is $165 shipped. The ends are 3.0mm thick and 181.2mm x 56mm and contain ~30 holes and some text. The front is $24 and the rear is $35. The 2.5mm thick bottom panel contains a few vent holes and the necessary cavity to fit into the extrusion. It is $44. The top is approximately the same price and contains two larger holes for the tubes. Total size for each is 167mm x 228.6mm. The extrusions themselves are $7 each and are 228.6mm long. I didn't include any hardware, as I would want fancier fasteners than what they sell. Grr..

Best Place to Purchase Tube Sockets in the USluvdunhill replied to jp11801's topic in Do It Yourself Parts Connexion. Check out the Teflon Composite for the 12ax7 and 6SN7 (no loktal PCB mount I know of)... PcX is cheaper than the 'bay on these last I checked. For 845, not too many options to choose from. Slightly cheaper than the tefcom sockets are Azuma sockets, also available at PcX. If you want to spend some money, there is always Yamamoto:

spent the last 10 hours cracking a piece of software... still not finished. This is the one thing you always outsource to the Russians, they're really good at it these days. So far, this binary does the following: garbage code. lots of it hides OEP, replaces original code with metamorphed garbage code. damaged import table does not use "GetProcAddress" but directly traverses DLL export table rdtsc crap closes Olly windows and other anti-debugging tricks SEH nonsense damaged EXE header has its own TLS table ... and more.. Still not done, but a lot closer.

The size is too large to take advantage of most prototyping deals, so it will be pretty expensive, probably 3x-4x that cost would be my guess.

oops, just noticed this. I'm still waiting on the final files from Jacob, so you'll have to get the layout from him. I'll be sure to post once I get them off to the fab. I think the final BOM is more or less the original schematic, plus the changes I outlined above for the bias (for your case specifically). There was one more resistor change that Kevin suggested that will effect the bias, but I haven't tried that myself, and it probably won't help your case out all that much. Someone was asking about minimum gain, and I think 5 is probably a good number for that.

yay, I knew this thread would come in handy. So, my question is regarding pin 9 on 6dj8, 6kn8, 6922, 7308, etc (i.e. the shield). I also want to be able to use 12.6v tubes that use pin 9 as a CT, like 12AT7, Ecc99 (I'm not sure if there are any 12.6v only tubes of this ilk, but if so maybe support them as well). What's the best way to handle this pin on a PCB? I have an earth connection that connects to the XLR shields as well as the shields on my input transformers, as well as a circuit ground. Also, what to do with the CT when it's not being used, in the case of 12.6v operation of the 12AT7/ECC99, ground it? Is there some configuration that will work well for all the above tubes? Thanks!
