  2. Did anything ever come of those ribbon-based headphones?
  3. Ok, never mind, that townhouse is gone. There's one decision made easier.
  4. There's one in Olney I really like, save for the lingering smoke from the last owner. It has ugly wood paneling that I'd need to remove in the basement, and since I'd be putting up more drywall (probably) I'd spring for the Quiet Rock stuff. But I don't imagine shelling out money for any ceiling stuff, so it wouldn't be sound proof. But I suppose the quiet rock on the basement walls would at least cut down the noise a bit. I dunno.
  5. The top ones, what looks to me like curly maple, are gorgeous.
  6. lost another bid on a house. Trying to decide if getting a townhouse = no awesome speakers.

  10. First, let me say this is not that big a deal, I'm just a bit curious about the following. I don't know if I'm just doing something stupid with Fire Fox, but for whatever reason my Head Case toolbar bookmarks (the drag-able ones) always loose the HC favicon after visiting another site that has favicons. Same deal with regular old folder bookmarks. So if I go to Headfi from Headcase, my bookmark reads 'Head Case' but features the Headfi favicon. Usually coming back seems to replace it again. As far as I can tell this doesnt happen with my other bookmarks. If it does, it is far less frequently, as I have never noticed it. ----- I don't know if its just me, or if everyone experiences this. Just curious is all. I'll rough it if need be.

  12. Thinly-sliced Vidalia sweet onion is baked in a mixture of mayonnaise, Swiss cheese, and Parmesan cheese for this creamy dip.
  13. This came up in a subwoofer forum once. I haven't read up on it in ages, but the best idea presented at the time was Vaseline or KY Jelly on the foam surrounds. Doubt that helps in this case though. I know someone from the subwoofer company posted that it should last at least 10 years, FWIW. (note; they did not make the recommendation of ointment)
