The plugins thing seems to be common. I think I saw something about a fix somewhere. Also some more serious issues I was reading about but can't recall specifics. I finally got around to upgrading to the latest Photoshop taking advantage of the $400 off at Amazon. I have not really used PS since CS so I have a lot to work on to get some sort of grip on it.

I got Verizon as I have noticed much higher speeds here in NYC on their LTE network than AT&T's.

AutoCAD WS from Autodesk is also free and is an excellent tool for guys carrying drawings in the field for view and markup.

Those look much better than the Canon provided samples.

I would not have thought so looking at those samples. Even with the NR cranked to 11 the grain is still pretty high. I did not immediately notice any of the normal shadow ISO banding in the sample though. That being said, the color looks great on the samples, but they all seem soft to me. 7D level AA filter? Anyone find anything about a dedicated Digic 4 for focus control like the 1Dx has?

As all the other formats listed under file formats are Video, I assumed the Raw listed there was video.

I think it will be a camera more geared towards video with stronger AA filter, thereby worse ISO and DR capability. The video pros using the 5D MK II will jump and everyone else will blow up the Internet with their complaints.

Maybe he just doesn't like his hoodie. Looks like the 1Dx release has moved from February to late April. I can't believe I actually had my hands on a working model six months ago and they still have not gotten the thing ready for release. The rumors are going crazy for the 5D but most seem to focus on better focus system but very little else changed.

I would not say it is glacial or anything. Mostly just noisy as hell. I thought the thing was broken until I did a web search and found it is perfectly normal.

Except those all have broken lens mounts. That was evidently a major problem with that lens.

I have seen a lot of speculation of $3,500 for this with specs of a much better focus system. In the Nikon experiment, I have found that the Nikon 35 f1.4 is a poor approximation of the Canon 35 f1.4. As noisy as the Canon 50 f1.8 plastic fantastic in focusing and just about as slow. I really want a Nikon body with a Canon lens mount. You think that might happen?
