  1. Yeah, not ashamed that we made the right decision last night. Plus the fresh (filtered) air and exercise always does me good.
  2. Walk of shame. 2.4 miles to get my car abandoned last night due to too drunk to drive in about an hour, all uphill. No hangover today, though, so I had that going for me. If you've seen me post those enormous margaritas at El Paso, those are the mediums. I had a large last night. It was almost large enough to swim in!
  3. I’m particularly enjoying tonight’s show. I really dig it when you “telegraph” what you’re going to play later or next.
  4. Unholy carp. There's some really painful lyrics to listen to in there: "Baby, I'm afraid But it's not your fault Maybe I should go Home alone tonight" I think I've been there. Not sure I understand the rest of the lyrics in that song, but damn, that one just made me double-take. That Liz Vice album is pretty great, and probably more my thing these days. As much as I like synthpop, the Prass album is a little too pop for me.
  5. I think I called them ‘backlog’, but yes, I get your gist. ;-p
  6. So you did have some biscuits.
  7. Joana Serrat -- sort of a female Chris Isaak -- she even uses a lyrics that incorporates the words, "wicked games"
  8. Esperanto sounded more like Kraftwerk than Kraftwerk did, as did his other albums, Communication and Off the Record. Being synthpop, they definitely have a place in my life, but this one is so shockingly different, it satisfies a completely different itch. That jangle.
  9. Condolences to you and his family and friends
  10. I fully expect to need to post to this in the morning. EDIT: a little cottonmouth, but that's it.
  11. This is the lead song from Karl Bartos' (yes, that Karl Bartos) first solo album, Electric Music. I know what you're thinking -- "WTF?!?!?" It's heavily dosed with Johnny Marr. I can't find my Japanese CD. I really need to hear the whole thing again. Here is more or less the whole album on YouTube. Probably my favourite album from 1998.
  12. Happy birthday, Raffy! (party favour noise)
  13. Dusty want.
  14. Happy birthday! (party favour noise)
  15. Happy belated! (party favour noise)
  16. Joana Serrat, Dripping Springs Folky. Country, without being twangy. Melikey.
  17. You and me both.
  18. This might be the greatest act name of all time: https://spacechicken.bandcamp.com/album/the-transcendental-object-at-the-end-of-time-part-1 space rock
