  1. New tUnE-YaRdS Accessibly bonkers
  2. I liked it until it sounded vaguely Phil Collins ish, but then it started sounding vaguely Peter Gabriel esque, and I liked it again. Production values are fantastic, though. I’ll have to give it a few more listens to shirk those impressions.
  3. For solid state, I like Musical Fidelity.
  4. You should change out the DT770. No, seriously, just do it by ear.
  5. Those are three different pictures. But it’s still a big fucking biscuit.
  6. Well, no, the Listen Professional is their first closed back headphones, and the Clear Professional...alright, the Clear Professional might be exactly that. And I think even that is the lighting. I edited the original post to add the actual article/advertisement from B&H Photo that I originally intended to link to. Nothing in there to distinguish it technically from its predecessors, though. Price point is different, nothing radical, maybe something about the included accessories.
  7. I'm not sure why they don't do that -- instead of trying to mimic ANC headphones by electronically trying to fight the noise, just completely encapsulate the IEM so that it naturally acts as hearing protection, then add mics to filter in the outside noise, compressed or limited, of course, to reduce the amplitude of loud sounds.

  9. Oh, really? Sorry, they had that broad, corner loaded look to them. I stand corrected. I mean, I was just making a random statement, a non sequitur, as it were. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
  10. So much sads.
  11. I love corner loaded speakers.
  12. Egad this is pretty. I mean, for viking music.
  13. Yeah, not sure. I mean, it's some of that whole fair trade/sustainable thing, but also I've had good luck with the WhistlePig Farmstock, and although they don't mention that it's organic, it kinda is. I guess with people who claim to do something organically (or Halal, where food is concerned), I am of the belief (whether true or not) that they do things with just a bit more care than otherwise, and I feel that the cleanliness of the system is a big factor in the taste of the thing, just like beer, wine, and everything else. Yeah, nothing so selfless as reducing pesticides, although I don't mind helping the environment, the motivation is much more selfish. I just want better, but I am wary enough to know that "organic" is not -- in and of itself -- necessarily so. Hence why I asked.

  15. Probably indeed. So I should take one for the team and buy it and try it?
  16. Happy birthday! (party favour noise)
  17. Agreed, just because it’s relatively reasonable does not mean it’s reasonable on an absolute scale.
  18. You haven’t priced NOS tubes lately, have you? That said, that’s only reasonable if they compete with NOS.
  19. Any of you heard of Wigle? https://www.wiglewhiskey.com ...I am interested in organic whiskies (?sp), hence my interest. Also, Barrell? https://www.barrellbourbon.com The guy was trying to push me to buy it, he said it was better than FarmStock.
