Hey, that's music notation, innit? I never noticed that one of my favourite expletives was comprised of the letters for pianissimo and forte.

Pfff

Correct. **TRØLL** I can never remember which of the accent aigu and the accent grave are supposed to be used on common words and phrases, like déjà vu and résumé, so I have to look them up every time. (And I only recently found out there were two on résumé, I usually only put the one at the end. I wonder how many offers I lost because of that.) Makes it really tough to be a fan of Hélène Grimaud.

Oh shit. I'll take it under advisement. Yes, the story of Tyll's digestive issues from -- what, a decade ago? -- the thought has crossed my mind that I've got some knots or backups, especially since I don't get enough exercise.

Well it's DC, so it should be better, I'd think, but I'm not exactly the brain trust here.

It's called an umlaut, and it tells you to palatalize the en. Sent from wherever I am from whatever this is via whatever I'm via-ing

I've been struggling with digestive issues on and off for the past two weeks, so I've been eating nothing but comfortable food. (Not to be confused with comfort food, which mine tends to be spicy or greasy or have cheese and whatnot.) About the only thing that I've found so far that falls into both groups is chicken. I love chicken. Still haven't figured out everything that's making me uncomfortable.

How well do they isolate?

Another Antimatter binge https://antimatter-uk.bandcamp.com/ The first four albums are the best. Extremely atmospheric...I don't even know what to call it...it's not metal...it's not post-metal...

He said he was worried about the beaver, not that he was worrying a beaver.

Well, Best Buy has the white 700s on sale for half off, which is less than I paid for my used ones I never got. -

Yeah, that's why I singled them out. -
I used to think Sambal Oelek was the answer to everything (similar product, made by the same company, too). It wasn't; it was the question. 'Yes' was the answer.

My da always said, "the right tools for the job". Yeah, it's an incomplete sentence, but the rest of it is implied.

I had a friend who said, "I never had a 10 before, but I had two fives once." Yeah, he was a pig, but that shit is still funny.

Just finished Written in Red, now on to Vision in Silver (I accidentally read the 2nd book 1st). Very enjoyable escapist urban fantasy. I really like the depictions of the werewolves' preoccupation with smell and cookies and playing. They refer to the main character as a 'squeaky toy'.

I've been going through this thread on sh.tv -- RIYL TestTone.

Alright, so back to the JBLs, but which ones? http://www.jbl.com/everest-headphones.html They have the 300, the 700, and the 750. Tempted to get the 750s, because 50 moar better. EDIT: Er, make that the 310, the 710, and the 750. And the 310 comes in purple! I'm so torn -- get the purple, or get the moar better? -
What's good about it is that even if you weren't a gamer, it's still a fun read. I was kind of surprised it would be made into a movie, there are a lot of very specific game references that are bound to the plot, I'll be curious which ones they kept and which ones they substituted. There are a lot of legal logistics to be lll...can't think of an el word....wrangled. Did you see the RP1 episode of Community? It's called Digital Estate Planning, I thought it was the closest we were going to get to a movie version. Me: ripped through more M.R. Forbes. The man knows how to pace a book, and I really like his approaches to common tropes -- he tries not to do the same thing twice, and it's like Ghost in the Shell -- sometimes it's a buddy cop story, sometimes it's an intergalaxial thriller with politics, sometimes it's fantasy, sometimes it's science fiction, but invariably it's always a fun read. I think I'm all caught up with everything he's written at this point. He'll never be confused for Ernest Hemingway or any other super-literate authors, but I'm not reading it to build my vocabulary, unless you want to count the fictitious species "Plixian"...
