I recently cut my hair really short, it doesn't take nary a minute or two to finish drying. They literally cook wood on guitars, but those are woods like maple and mahogany, not sure what it would do to MDF.

This little side-to-side hip movements are probably to keep the outfit from binding front and back. I can't even imagine how uncomfortable that is.
