  1. Happy birthday, Al! (party favour noise)
  2. The Buggles, Age of Plastic / Adventures in Modern Recording -- because sometimes I'm just in the mood for the Buggles, and nothing else will suffice
  3. My eyes were drawn towards the purple.
  4. I'ma might have to get this. Does one have to get an iPhone, or will it work with an iPad or an iTouch? Sorry for the newb question, will wander off and look it up myself, now.
  5. [cookie monster voice]Me, however, need sedate music: Chopin Project, Olafur Arnalds & Alice Sara Ott.
  6. Dig that shirt!
  7. I thought we learned our lessons with Kool-aid.
  8. But then you can do OpenCL/CUDA stuff. But I agree, forget the monitor -- that stuff should stay away from a music server.
  9. I don't remember. I did get it to log in, but I never went back and verified that what I listened to was scrobbled. Last I checked, it was disconnected, but that was never very important to me. And yeah, that skip-skip-skip-skip-done shit is exactly what I got. EDIT:
  10. I wrote them. Desktop app dunt work, web player works fine. Web player blocked at work for me, and that's where I do a lot of my listening, so that ain't good enough.
  11. Yeah, but theirs don't come with silver cable.
  12. iZombie -- not sure why they call it this, but I thoroughly enjoyed the pilot -- it is exactly what the commercial promises it is. Plus, Rob Thomas (Veronica Mars).
  13. "Girding your loins?" NOT "Good in your loins?" Jesus fucking Christ these people are incompetent. That said, the movie is phenomenal -- another wonderful black comedy from Ben Wheatley. More ... abstract than Kill List or Sightseers. And yet, I feel it's his most complete, his most accomplished. And shovels feature prominently. To the front of the head even, once.
  14. A Field in England I wish I understood English I wish the subtitles were better. It's not, "I saw it. He cannot be and exact business...", it's "astrology cannot be an exact business..."
  15. I saw something about a farewell tour. Me: some Free 'n'stuff, will listen to that later.
  16. And another: Free bassist Andy Fraser Man, it sucks to be in a time when so many rock stars drop like flies...I might have to go binge on some Free, I never paid them enough attention.
  17. something something elbow something? No, seriously, you mean like this? No idea. Unrelated: Daly's is having an ink sale. Prices probably aren't any good (the price I paid for my Rotring there was too goddamn high), but at least they can be relied upon to deliver said goods (I did still end up buying said Rotring).
  18. Facebook video of levitation via lack of treated acoustical spaces nodes. (Next, they'll be tickling the pleasure centers of our brains while feeding us subliminal messages.) Yeah, I was just going to post this.
  19. Yeah, RIP. As much as that was an earworm, it never bothered me that much, plus, can't deny his talent.
  20. Apetrof, Cyber Life -- mostly because I was searching for "pink Floyd tribute" and this came up because of one track, but the whole album intrigued me and...does anyone remember acid jazz? That's pretty much what disk one was. Disk two isn't bad vaguely drum-n-bass-ish stuff. Haven't gotten to disk three yet.
  21. Don't give him ideas, man, he probably has all the parts.
  22. Outstanding on all counts, Crappy.
  23. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is back. And did I mention the second season of Broadchurch has started? Also, look, it's that chick from Torchwood Eve Myles.
  24. That's too bad, but you won't regret the Subaru, so you have that peace of mind to look forward to. Although I'd go XV Crosstrek, myself.
  25. Yeezh.
