Hanggai -- Mongolian/Chinese folk+ band. First album, Introducing Hanggai -- is more indigenous music, but He Who Travels Far and Baifang introduce elements of rock and prog. Still has a lot of folk elements to it, they're just stirred up into a complex stew. EDIT: This shit is awesome:

I've always loved music, but the equipment to make it was always just a tool to hear the music until recently. Bought a sample CD (Uwe Schmidt) that included a warning against blowing one's woofers -- I paid no heed, and blew my woofers. Went to a store to hear some speakers I wanted to hear. They sounded like they had a live band playing inside, so I stayed outside. When they finished I heard what was obviously a much larger audience than could possibly fit in the small store. Immediately bought said system (less the source -- a turntable -- since I was CD based).

I love Night of the Living Dregs Dregs of the Earth, but never got anything else by them. Any pointers? I could do with some good fusion. EDIT: Correct album title, not sure why I always do that.

It's so cold out, that my apartment complex management asked us all to leave our faucets on 'drip' so that the pipes don't freeze and burst. Sad part is, it makes sense, because if they do have to fix the burst pipes, you know they're going to raise our rent, so we're going to pay for it either way.

Yeezh. If I did that on my phone, I'd be 30GB over my limit, at $15/GB, and 29 days left of the month to tread water on. I actually have Spotify set to only play over wi-fi or download. Need to see if Tidal does the same.

Haven't read that yet. Yeah, October Daye is still the best...er...my favourite.

This show is the best. I love the touch'n'go humour -- it's typical "good guy vs. bad guy" shtick, and the CG is horrible (I think it even makes fun of itself at one point -- person falls, goes splat, and parts appear to have gone missing because they were rendered on the other side of the floor) but it's the little things that get me. Bad guy looks like someone out of Clockwork Orange; one of the professors is constantly slurping on coffee and spastic; etc.

Elementary is on my list as well, that is all I've got.

Shelly -- you gotta watch his standup, I have never laughed so hard. Yeah, wasn't aware of Scorpion, but I'll definitely give it a go watch the pilot maybe. Person of Interest -- now that one I was aware of, but had forgotten to watch, will check it out. Black Box, never even heard of. Okay, I started watching RWBY -- OMG, this is awsum. Weird girl shows up, Ruby says something, (silence, wind blows, a tumbleweed blows past)...Ruby says something else...(more wind, another tumbleweed blows past)..."sure is windy". Ruby (main character) starts giving a rousing speech, "Sisters! Friends! Weiss!" (Weiss is a "frenemy") Weiss: (offscreen) "Hey!" I couldn't stop laughing for 5 minutes. Yes, it's simple little humour, but it's definitely my kind of humour.
