  1. I have the BDP-105D connected to my 4K screen -- even just upscaled looks pretty damn good.
  2. WTH is wrong with you? Me: salad.
  3. Cheaper, that's all. Anyway, they're shipping out another case (yes, just for one exploded can).
  4. Steven Wilson interview:

Thanks for speaking up, Tyll, I hadn't purchased mine yet. I will wait until this all falls out and we get a consensus. I need to find my CD3000s.
  6. Was he a drone? Maybe this is that new-fangled "drone delivery" ah keep hearin' 'bout. I wonder where the queen was. You know she controls 'em with hormones.
  7. You mean, because it's fretless? I crack me up. EDIT: No, seriously, it looks like something someone imagined and described as a joke, and some artiste said, "yeah! someone make me one!" Some experimental crackpot like Caspar Brotzmann...or Glenn Branca...
  8. ...just sold.
  9. Yeezh. I never have those kind of days. I don't even know what that means. Me: Yes, Close to the Edge, Blu-Ray (up next: The Yes Album, then can't decide whether or not to switch to SRV or Foreignor...probably Foreignor, SRV requires a tad more attention -- and perhaps solemnity/praise/worship/&c. than I'm divulging at the mo').
  10. It only looks nasty because it was all over everything, I don't have anything against Nutella at all. I actually just had a similarly nasty experience with catfood -- one of the cans exploded, and smelled to high heaven when I got home today (I received it last week some time, and it had exploded probably during packing -- not even shipping, the box was fine). And it, too, looked nasty. EDIT: So nasty -- it had started to mold, that's what I was smelling. Hairy like a caterpillar mold. (involuntarily shudders)
  11. Yes, Relayer, Blu-Ray
  12. Okay, so...not oblivious.
  13. Aren't onions a staple food of your people? I think it's your mama that took a wrong turn...
  14. That would be appreciated! I know I like High on Fire, too, curious what they're like live.
  15. Synergy on YouTube (Electronic Realizations for Rock Orchestra and Sequencer).
  16. 's'truth. ^ That looks nasty, Jeff.
  17. Hmmm....
  18. New Jean Michel Jarre
  19. Onions would make them better, but I don't remember there being onions in hush puppies, though I could just be oblivious. Me, now: home cooked green curry veggies and chicken (green beans, okra, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots) -- hot! I need to figure out a way to temper this curry paste, one can of coconut milk does not cut it
  20. Found Christopher Moore amongst my Kindle purchases, so started reading Lamb electronically. Stumbled back to Goodreads, so I figured out where I had left off with Dresden files, so I started Small Favor in paperback...and finished it. Forgot how addictive that shit is, might be worse than Seanan McGuire. Now starting Turn Coat. Looks like I've got some catching up to do. Good.

    Dammit you guys. Fine.
  22. You didn't get any hush puppies? Those things are 10x as delicious as biscuits. That is a Red Lobster thing, innit? Been a while since I been...
  23. Lollers, I'm pretty sure no. That said -- I've still got a cough, but otherwise feel better, so what I think I'm going to do is this: set up an appointment tomorrow whenever they can see me. The day before the appointment, if I'm better, I'll cancel the appointment, otherwise I'll stick to it.
  24. It's really great. I'm going to try to see them twice, once in DC, once in Fairfax, VA. Here's to hoping they sound just as great live. Me: starting off in a synthpop mood with Marsheaux's entire catalog, more or less, with a detour through dark'n'spacy with Transport Aerian.
