  1. Ooh, that's nice. I shoegaze.
  2. ...and another one I forgot. Alas.
  3. Rly? I didn't even enjoy hating him...
  4. Trader Joe's Garlic Chipotle salsa with Guiltless Gourmet unsalted corn chips == addictive to the point of bloat. Oops. I just ate a whole jar. Blargh.
  5. Damn! I knew I forgot something. Addendum: Team DIY say: make both the headphones and the amp yourself.
  6. @ Pink Flamingos
  7. plzpostpix kthnxbye
  8. Team source-first say: use duct tape to fix your headphones, and get a good external DAC/amp out of the harsh environment of your computer, like the Apogee (used) or a Headamp product (new). Team moar/betr say: save that first $500, save another $700 or so, and get JH13's. Stax mafia say: get Stax. Team I:ian:lolcats say:
  9. It's laundry detergent. I bet it makes your whites whiter.
  10. California Guitar Trio, Andromeda -- I love unorthodox time signatures, instrumental pop/rock, and masterful playing.
  11. This version of Stranglehold is really bizarrely fast...now I want to hear them do "Catch the Breeze".
  12. Yacht rock is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine -- I feel more guilty about some of that stuff than I do over Pink or Kylie Minogue. Me, now: Ministry, Every Day is Halloween: The Anthology -- interesting to hear their current version of the classic song, I've always wanted to hear some of the With Sympathy tracks done in the Land/Mind style. Can't wait for some of those covers.
  13. smallest full (1080p) HD resolution screen: 4.8 inches As per usual: WANT.
  14. Obviously he needs to remove the crossovers and replace them with digital active crossovers and amps. Also the driver elements and the cabinets.
  15. UnSun, Clinic for Dolls -- progressive gothic metal with female vocals...love it. Not sure if this qualifies as corny or not, but...let's put it this way: I've listened to -- and enjoyed -- much cornier (Helloween comes to mind). I guess it just depends on your perspective -- I find a lot of blues way too intolerably corny. EDIT: Scratch the "progressive" part -- I was distracted by the syncopated beat of the first song.
  16. No, it's not just epic THD, it's the choice of even and odd harmonics, methinks...probably even that is an oversimplification (believe me, I've played with a variety of distortions -- one of the good things about the Alesis Quadraverb GT is that it has several different kinds of analog distortion, which all sound different...and no, I have yet to hear a digital plugin that sounds anything as good as a good analog distortion).
  17. Partnership with Zound Industries, I'm finding a lot of information about looks, but very little about technical details...which does not bode well. Also, if it's anything like a Marshall amp, it will distort like crazy, but I will still want one. Also, interesting setup -- looks "boxy", like an ortho. EDIT: Also, black:
  18. :wumpscut:, Siamese -- classic old school electro-industrial. "Loyal to My Hate" is a favorite track, I might have to make it my ringtone:
  19. Okay, when you put it like that...not so bad. Still don't think I'd choose that particular color myself, though.
  20. I bet it still depends how you hold it. That's one fugly shade of green, though.
  21. I'm more of a Wonderama guy, myself. "It isn't easy, going all day, Winning and losing in the games that we play, Doing our homework, Learning in school, And trying to live by the golden rule. And so we hope You'll understand, And try to give a helping hand..."
  22. I love both those records, so both are very good news. It would be too much to ask for high res recordings? The Queen song is probably "Get Down Make Love". I distinctly remember going to his first concert (opening act for Jesus & Mary Chain, whom we walked out on) with Richard Patrick (now, Filter) on guitar, and thinking (even discussing) that we hoped he'd do a cover, it'd be wonderful to hear his take on someone else's music, and being pleased as punch with the result. I don't remember if he did any other covers that night, but that's the one that stood out, that was the good one.
  23. (squints)
