  1. Kelley Armstrong, Frostbitten -- easily my favorite author of this genre. I love the way she can switch 'voice'.
  2. Yeezh, I've never had those problems (I use a wired-network computer, myself). So yeah, it's probably what you said.
  3. I don't know, man, open flames?
  4. Want godzilla pants. I like how she doesn't deny anything until she realizes this is going out over the airwaves. ...or a typical anorexic model.
  5. (crosses finhrtdz?/$...)
  6. I would think a device that extracts the digital signal for its own purposes without passing it on would be an easier sell, but I'm conjecturing...
  7. This is also a function of the movie chosen -- more recent ones look better than the earlier ones.
  8. I hit a bump today, and it finally went...including resetting itself. I'll have to go see later, see how far it got, but I'm pretty sure it was going on 300.
  9. Hey now! I exceeded 30 mph just today. By a goodly margin. Allegedly. PS I am having zero luck finding where I thought I saw the De Dolle Reserva, sorry...but it's an annual thing, so at this point, your best bet is to just wait for the 2010 to come out.
  10. You can report it as a bug -- Apple is actually pretty responsive to those.
  11. Pro: The cops don't tend to see silver cars. Cons: Neither do other drivers, especially on hazy days, when your color matches the sky. Like today (at least, down here).
  12. Those things look cooler than my Aerio SX, because they got some design input from Porsche, IIRC. So: nice! And: I hate you. What color?
  13. Kerrygold Aged white cheddar with Irish stout -- and I forgot to mention yesterday I had some Kerrygold aged white cheddar with Irish whiskey which was superb! I only meant to eat half, but I ended up eating the whole thing.
  14. I lollered.
  15. Atomâ„¢, Music is Better than Pussy
  16. I'm not familiar with Macs, but I can hazard a guess: look in your settings for ... audio out? digital out? See if it's hard set to 96. See if there's a setting in ...ac3 filter? Are you using that? Looks like it's under the main tab, "output format", set to "AS IS"? Looks like there might be a couple of settings there, if you're using it: I would love to help, but really need to be looking over your shoulder, alas. Look at the settings under SPDIF on the same tab as well, unclick the "restrict" rate if you're using it. EDIT: Assuming you're not using ac3 filter, it looks like the settings you need to be looking at are your audio settings. It should look something like this: ...only you want to set your output device to your SPDIF. If you can do that and take a screen shot, I'm sure I or someone here can tell you what to look for next, assuming you haven't figured it out yourself by that point.
  17. No, but now that you've said that, I have to consider it. Also, since you made me look, I did find a couple that are designed to be more "open": Howard Leight Another one
  18. Gas, "Microscopic", 9:54 of electronic bliss (recommended to everyone except those that have an aversion to synthesizers) -- free mp3 from last.fm
  19. Hey, I did allow for the possibility of magic... EDIT: And I didn't think of this until later, but source might also have been an issue.
  20. Alpacas are silly looking creatures, especially when freshly shorn:
  21. It's a great quote, but you needn't credit anything to me, I didn't say it. You may want to say something along the lines of "paraphrased of Louis Armstrong, etc." And do you realize: we're asking, and we're never getting to knowing (what the quote was).
  22. Yeah, I saw that, but wikiquote also says, "Exact wording varies", and that sounds like a grammatically correct-ified version of what he said originally. He may have said it multiple times, which may make it impossible to determine for sure.
  23. I can't take full credit for it, only its use in this context (and a little fun with language). Can't find the exact correct phrasing of the quote, so you'll have to settle for my memory (which, admittedly, is faulty): And: thanks.
  24. Dude, it's kind of like jazz. If you have to ask the question, then yes, you are.
  25. Good luck!
