  1. I just wanted to acknowledge that this was brilliant.
  2. I've heard of bad streaks, but that's ridiculous.

  5. Uh...scratch everything I said, I was thinking of the Element.
  6. ^ Comparatively aerodynamic. That looks like a Photoshop. Either that, or a very good Paint. Or perhaps a Paint rendered into a Photoshop.
  7. LOL C'mon, you know we care, not just because it's you, but...guys? cars? I'm not sure I like any generation Pilot, although I'm usually a big fan of Honda. The originial shoebox-with-wheels. Now out-uglied by the Nissan Cube, Scion xB, and a couple others, but at the time that it came out, by far the boxiest thing on the road.
  8. Very similar, good ear. (And yes, I have a soft spot for "Tainted Love".)
  9. I'd be curious about that comparison as well.
  10. Tony Cheng's ...and yeah, that was nice. Sorry I missed Peace/Crazy/Love Train.
  11. I'm stuck on this song, "Hook Me Up", by The Veronicas, from about 3 years ago (orly? I only just discovered it). I realize that nothing else they've done is anything like that, but given that...any other recommendations? Keywords: hooky, catchy, synthpop, new wave, retro.

Baby bounces Don't forget to read the last paragraph, and tell me your heart doesn't skip a beat. Oh, and I just love the imagery ... so Warner Bros.
  13. Can you expand on this a little? It's just that ... this is exactly the issue I had with the 4070. There was just something "off" about the bass. (I don't remember whether or not I had the fit problems, but I do remember them being almost unbearably heavy.) I actually don't mind "technically pretty good", because the last time that happened, I ended up settling on that one as a favorite source. I (at that time) decided I liked a source that did not impose any of its own "excitement" to the music, and rather just got out of the way and let me hear excitement in music in which there was excitement, and not hear it where there wasn't. Euphony is nice once in a while, but it's addictive, and I can live without it. So you may want to listen to them from that perspective before you give up on them. Also, what amp?
  14. I thought it was pronounced "beaut". And lol@ Penelopez.
  15. (drums fingers @ Jacob)
  16. Hiatus between actual albums. I chose my word carefully, it implies being bookended by actual things.

Goddamnit, you just mainlined on my weakness...
  20. And...? Guys, it's obviously a bit of a culture clash here -- I'll have to admit that despite Jacob's objections, I am curious why your friends in school would nickname you "butt" -- obviously it means something different than what it means here. (Feel free to keep the pronunciation part as a separate part of the story, I think most of us understand that part.)
  21. "...in over 20 years..." -- Jesus, that might be a record (ahem) for longest hiatus.
  22. I've had this thought. It hasn't worked out for me so far...yet.
