  1. Anathema, "Balance"/"Closer" -- can't seem to get unstuck of this. Also, Oingo Boingo, "The Alphabet Song" & "Minnie the Moocher"
  2. MRI? Kidding (probably shouldn't say things like that out loud to Kevin). If it's any consolation, I like the way it turned (ahem) out.
  3. So that's the plan for Friday, what's the plan for Saturday, or are you going to work that out on Friday, and pass the information around verbally? I won't necessarily have internet access Friday-Sunday, but I'll probably have Colin access (and of course phone and text).
  4. That was one of 'em 'rhee-tor'cal' questions, wunnit? Yes, of course Heifetz.
  5. Also, look at something like a Sony DVDirect. It's mostly for recording, but since it can record standalone, it can play back standalone. I'm not sure if it has digital outs, though.
  6. Mesmerizing. "Look into my eye."
  7. Wouldn't the gain coming from the amp double, if you kept the gain the same on the individual boards?
  8. Horrible.
  9. omg, YES. (interview mode) Foxxy Love: Poor, pitiful ass Clara. So incredibly gullible, she'll believe anything you tell her. (flashback mode) Clara: Huh. He died on the cross for our sins, you say. Yeah, I could see that. Also, "La-la-la-la-labia baby you got something for me" == greatest song number line ever.
  10. They certainly have 1/4 size DVD players. I keep my Sony ...erm, forget the model number, but it's really weird shaped, like a wedge, with the transport at an angle, is several year old technology, but had a great picture, and 24/96 out on its coaxial. Here are some others: Samsung, Sony portable, multiregion Sony...well, you can google ("small DVD player" &&/|| "portable dvd player"), yourself, neh? Sorry, that wasn't very helpful, was it?
  11. Yeah, it rocked. Stana == , and her acting was sublime -- loved some of the subtle facial expressions they made her do throughout the episode.
  12. Filthy rice* * -- leftover sauce from "Chicken with hot garlic sauce" from Mandarin House mixed with rice "Dirty Rotten Filthy Rice" == dirty rice + filthy rice + kimchi
  13. Pfff, not in the mood for that, went to: Porcupine Tree, The Sky Moves Sideways

Okay, so you're just backwards, that's all. I still don't get you, which means my suggestions to you in your thread were pure luck.
  15. A Storm of Light, And We Wept the Black Ocean Within

No. What's wrong with you? It's such a happy little ditty. I mean, I can understand Ministry having that effect on someone...or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecY6_zEwmsk...or even Hilt...but JMJ, really?
  17. Dusty Chalk replied to postjack's topic in Off Topic
Yes, "Man Machine". JMJ is probably the single earliest most responsible person for my love of synthpop.
  18. Wow, that takes me back. EDIT: Actually, I don't think I have that one, I think I have The World Behind You. Me: Project Pitchfork, Continuum Ride
  19. Dusty Chalk replied to postjack's topic in Off Topic
    Jean-Michel Jarre, Equinoxe (Part 4) -- it's a classic
  20. Me: Porcupine Tree, Signify I like pretty much everything she's done, but her most recent couple works were less eye-opening than before. So I'd just start with her earliest recordings and work your way forward. Pretty much my favorite living violinist.
  21. Considering changing our departure time to Sunday, will try and join any festivities Saturday night if so.
  22. Geezin' sucks. At least you didn't die.
