  1. Yeah, because once you go unicorn, you never go back.
  2. You should like Devo more (just because they're so cool and subversive), but I'm glad you wore the T-shirt.
  3. I'm not sure what I would've done in that situation. I would have wanted to do some clever reference to something he's done, but probably would have just stammered, awestruck. He's a god. I probably would've looked to see who he was with, considering he was married to Connie Booth. Oh, and me: part way through Sanshiro Sugata (aka Judo Saga). Really too bad about the missing footage.
  4. Mebbe you're cold-blooded?
  5. At first, I was like, "whu?", but then I realized: branding. In real life, I am less Vader, and more this guy: some hapless bastard
  6. I said, "fuck it", and drove to Delaware. 3 hours out, hour or so for dinner, hour more or so to sober up, 3 hours back -- yeah, that's my kind of 8 hour day. I think I listened to Pain of Salvation the entire time, but there might have been some Andromeda and Guilt Machine thrown in there. Also, I think I found Pain of Salvation's greatest song:
  7. Actually, she was great in that -- I didn't think she'd be able to pull off comedy, but she was awesome. Also, it wasn't subversive enough. I really liked what little subversion they had, but wish they had gone completely overboard with it. But then again, it wouldn't have been British if they didn't show restraint. No, wait, that doesn't explain Fawlty Towers.
  8. Nice, thanks for posting. I never thought I could enjoy beer vicariously, but I think I just did. Cheers!
  9. Awesome.
  10. 84 -- yeah, we're spoiled...boss doesn't want to listen to us whine (That's 84 inside)
  11. I just got sent home (air conditioner broke again).
  12. Noted. And not really new information. (So please don't feel the need to bite your tongue in the future.) I can do that with the small bottles -- and do -- but the larger bottles take 2 or 3 glasses to finish. I do try and and minimize the time from open to finish, unless it's one that's really difficult to drink for whatever reason (Tokio* [high alcohol content], Peculiar Yule [just...peculiar], Night Stalker [off-ish], etc.), but I...uh...I've already developed a taste for flatter beer. :\ The Night Stalker is actually the first one that's actually been too flat even for my tastes.
  13. And we lose another one. Congrats.
  14. Ricky's Rice Bowl
  15. I actually have a bottle of Rigor Mortis chillin' in the fridge -- love their packaging, very gothic, but didn't really find a beer I wanted to try before this one. I also have the Simple Malt Imp
  16. Tame Impala -- britpop run through psychedelic reverbs -- so Stone Roses, essentially. Melikey.
  17. Not a big, I just thought people ought to be warned.
  18. Fritos Finally finished that fucking bag. I should hopefully remember not to buy this again for another 10 years or so.
  19. My beer-fu continues to get better, considering where I started from. Thanks in no small part to a large portion of advice here.
  20. And it's not like I couldn't have known, but there are so many, that you're bound to run into something you didn't know.
  21. I have found the Mecca, and it's in Columbia MD: The Perfect Pour (note to Grawk -- if you ever come down via 95, it's right off the 175 exit): Brewdog Storm, Weyerbacher Tiny (yes, more), Haandbryggeriet Norse Porter, De Dolle Extra Export Stout (yes, more, I'm going to have to start dating them, so that I know when "6 mos. later" is), Brewdog Dogma, Mikkeller 黑/Black imperial stout, Beer Here Morke Pumpernickel porter, Les Trois Mousquetarres Doppelbock, Fantome Chocolate, and Goose Island Bourbon County stout. They also had some of the Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary stouts, but since I was stocked up, I didn't get any. And plenty of Weyerbacher Heresy. And more of the Night Stalker. Plus, it's in the same state, and it's the closest good craft brew store I've found.
  22. I'm ahead of you Vicki -- and yes, I do remember appreciating one or two albums at a time. And to an extent, I am back to that.
  23. You make "genital attention" sound like a bad thing.
  24. SPOILERS!
