Really, the SR-003 have rather a bizarre target market -- those that need that electrostatic sound portably, don't mind 'open', and can get the fit right (the fit is quote fiddly). Me, personally, I think it's a great way to get introduced to the electrostatic sound, but I recognize I'm in the minority on that. (Not a mafioso.)

They should program it so that he says "oh my" any time you pass anything interesting, like a red light district, or the Washington Monument. "And on your left...oh, my..."

My dad was awesome, but he was never that awesome. Convoy must have got some action on the side in that fanfic, "Convoy and Melissa, sittin' in a tree..." Or maybe it was a crossover. Or a mashup. Looking at that booty, I'd say, 'mashup', as in, Otaku say, "I'd like that to mashup into my face". Just as long as "Melissa" wasn't "more than meets the eye", 'cause that usually means, 'penis'. Target audience == transformers toys collectors x (I don't know if that's "times" or "intersection" or "dot product" or whatever) Otaku.

Just checking in, I have nothing to add. I enjoy my (Motorola) Droid. I use the maps capability more than anything, but occasionally text, head-case (tapatalk), and browse. Not a power user. Need to figure out the whole "taking a picture" thing -- I have some on there of Bobby and Luvbug that I'd like to share. Oh, and I make phone calls on it, too. But not so much.

Mankind is Obsolete, Rise -- really really digging this, it's a weird amalgamation of Nitzer Ebb teutonicness, Nine Inch Nails aggression, Garbage-y pop production, with the occasional shoegaze and metal influences rearing their respective heads in odd places. And quite clever too, at parts. In their ballad, "More Than What I Am", they deliberately start off with very sparse musical elements with the vocal standing out in typical vocal-forefront pop fashion. Part way through the song, they kick into this shoegaze wall of sound 'break', and -- in typical shoegaze portion -- the vocals are subdued and layered. One of the vocals continues singing lyrics, and another is singing something like "Singing, singing, wordless music, empty lullabies" -- I.E. deliberately vapid lyrics, autotuned, no less. And then, to top it all off, the verse continues without the music bed getting any less cluttered, but with the vocals back in the forefront. Really, only someone like me (and by 'someone like me', I mean one of us headphone music listeners) is going to catch this.

On the contrary, the DSP is compensating for differences in the amp (albeit, hopefully subtle ones), it should sound exactly the same. If anything is going to cause it to sound different, it'll be the amp.
