  2. Ooh, me too, me too.
  3. I would post something to the effect of, "(faps furiously)", but I just saw the Emma Watson pics a couple minutes ago.
  4. It was a limited release, there'll be another batch when it finishes brewing. Happy Husband Caregiver/Magna Carta/Native American Citizenship/Nature Photography/Admission (Arkansas) Day!
  5. The Gizmodo thing?
  6. That's it, I'm having pizza for breakfast tomorrow. Bastids.
  7. I have my own drinking game which I call "solitaire": I drink whenever I can.
  8. Korzhiki -- Russian word for cookies, it's just a simple flour-based dough cookie, but there's something magically addictive about it.
  9. Coconut, buttermilk (fnar-fnar), and vanilla bean? Remind you of anyone? "Wait, no it doesn't..." never gets old.
  10. That's brilliant.

    Canjam 2010.

x2 on the Escher-"two-worlds"-esque shot -- really great shot. Are there any incriminating shots in the .rar file, or can someone put it up on rapidshare/mediashare/whatever and post the link?
  12. Bummer. You should've driven a little further and picked up your Sierra Nevada...
  13. Wouldn't it be more reasonable to tie a blimp helium balloons to the T1 to see if it goes away?
  14. I completely agree with pretty much everything you said -- which is why I haven't invested yet. I was just recognizing out loud that I was not part of their target market. As to my alternative -- I was thinking of just putting together a cheap little minix system with some ADC's/DACses. Hoping for less of a learning curve as well.
  15. Pfff -- I'm out.
  16. I am curious about vegetables.
  17. The Fibonacci's stole the show for me. It's a single ribbon, acoustic suspension, so they had them practically flat up against the wall, and I was hearing zero combing. No bloom (Salk), no bizarre etch-y like thing that wasn't etch (MBL, but I suspect it was room placement -- about 6 feet from a stone fireplace -- will probably visit United Audio for another demo, they were otherwise very good), not shouty...just...everything right. Wish they went lower than 80 Hz, he said it wasn't a gradual roll-off, but almost a brick-wall. Surround configuration, but I forgot to bring any of my own music. Intended to be in-wall. Never got to listen to the Berkeley Audio Design.
  18. Deaf Pedestrians, ...and Other Distractions -- catchy hard pop, with just a touch of Social D, but without the insolent sneer. Dig.
  19. Went to Capital Audiofest; spent the latter part of the day with my mom.
  20. David Mamet's "Lost Masterpieces of Pornography" w/ Kristen Bell, Ed O'Neill & Ricky Jay from David Mamet, Robert Elswit, Kristen Bell, Ed O Neill, Ricky Jay, Brad, Chrisann Verges, Debra McGuire, FOD Team, Bob Jennings, Shauna O'Toole, and Jack Wall Yes, I will pretty much watch anything with Kristen Bell in it.
  21. It depends on the output and input impedances of the respective connections on the three devices involved, and whether or not, as Nate says, they have separate output stages. So (as you're already doing), try it and find out. If you can't immediately tell the difference, then it's fine.

    Canjam 2010.

    Frak.
  23. Thanks, now I have The Who stuck in my head.
  24. (eyes glaze over)
  25. As was mentioned in the "...drinking now" thread, it was probably the best of show of the night -- definitely try it. I think it's a winner.
