  1. More listening than watching, but Lux Terminus starting at about 10:40 and the cellist looper immediately after were highlights. Most of the rest had harsh vocals, so only recommended for the metal heads. Day one was great, too, especially Novena doing a metal version of Feliz Navidad.
  2. Someone generously shared with me a bootleg of the first Porcupine Tree show I ever went. I’m in heaven.
  3. No worries, it’s a lot different doing individual tracks in a larger mix than it is doing it on a whole stereo mix. I’ll be asking the former. Also, not really worried about synchronization if it’s a foundation track.
  4. No, but that sounds like an awesome idea. I may tap you to process some tracks for me. Will be in touch. Seriously. Bowie’s early reissues on Rykodisc deliberately did exactly this, BTW.
  5. Piroshka, new Miki (Lush) project, this is great!

  14. Tuna with red hot cherry peppers and Grillo’s “pickle de Gallo”—delicious.
  15. Yeah, I know Bobby’s comfortable when he lies on his back and exposes his belly...right in the middle of the hallway. And Skye has been particularly cuddly these past couple days, she fell asleep in my lap today, after headbutting me near to death! 20 years old! That’s awesome.
  16. Happy belated birthday, Todd! (party favour noise)
  17. Yeah, I wouldn’t feel too bad about TC Electronic or TC Helicon, they were bought by the parent company, but have their own business practices, and are for all practical purposes, decoupled from Behringer. Their pedals and bass amplifier gear are ace, for example, developed by the company’s in-house R&D department.
  18. Okay, yeah, understood—TC Helicon also have smaller, guitar pedal sized boxes. https://www.tc-helicon.com/catalog.html?catalog=Application&category=P-TCHELICON-MUSICIAN
  19. Watched the livestream of Yvette Young and her band Covet, and it was fantastic! The set was beautiful with flowers everywhere, professionally shot and the sound was that perfect balance between live and studio, almost like a Peel Session. And of course the music was that math rock that really only they can deliver.
  20. Lollers, I have one of the TC Helicon boxes (which I can’t find right now) (deflated emoji) (I was already looking for it myself) bought pre merger. Feel free to ask questions, I didn’t really hear one in there. What is it specifically you don’t think it does that you want it to?
