  1. Because we are safe in the knowledge that he will do whatever he wants to, anyway. It's just advice, and worth what he paid for it. You keep bringing up that "if" statement -- I think you've figured out the problem, in that the other cable may not be built correctly, or may not be built to spec.

    Very nice!
  3. He's too subtle & refined for us, I didn't catch it until the second pass. Dick and fart jokes = profit! -- paraphrase of Kevin Smith via Holden McNeil's grandmother.
  4. LOL @ "...powerless..."
  5. And that's exactly why I think he should state something.
  6. Kitty litter, 5-HTP
  7. I would say that if an aftermarket cable is used, and is not correctly made, then you will not be held responsible for any damage that may result.
  8. Not necessarily, less felt could equal more reflections causing cancellation == less bass, but I could see it going either way. I would definitely try swapping the drivers if you want a definitive answer. But that might entail cutting the wires, so filling in the gap might actually be easier. If you're talking about being really really picky, (a) well hell, you're in the right place now, then, aren't you? ( ...that would make a really really picky bit of difference, so the scale of problem to solution is right.

    WANT.
  12. I don't know about the vampire bit (perhaps something in the TrueBlood thread?), but didn't you come out here?
  13. I stand corrected then.
  14. Yeah, sorry, I know I checked out the code, but it's on neither my home machine nor on my work machine, so I have to either check it out again or download it.* So let me know if you get it, and I won't get around to it right away. * I do that a lot -- bite off more than I can chew, then put it on the backburner.
  15. Auto-Tune my Life. I would leave that on all the time.
  16. Android? Didn't you see Alien, man? Androids are evil, and they will fucking try to kill you. Terminator?
  17. But now that looks like "huge fati (fatty)".
  18. Rsync is pretty reliable as long as nothing goes wrong, but there's no reliability checking and correction built-in -- I'd use something else. Also, it's designed for low-bandwidth comms -- if your comms is fine, then it's about as good as scp.

    Don't they have serial numbers?
  20. USB-powered is USB-powered -- it's a standard, so if they have the port, it should be adequate, yes.
  21. Impressions now or ban.
  22. invisicaps FTW.
  23. I'm waiting for water tiger:
  24. Out of your price range, but information all the same.
