  1. Nothing below 100Hz? Nothing above 12kHz?
  2. Found out I didn't get the Fellowship I applied for. Fuck Tonight, I drink.
  3. Mate, you need to learn some dick control!
  4. You sound like you need beer. Now. * Not directed at you specifically, and no consolation I'm sure, but this is why DIY shouldn't be seen as a cheap way of getting equipment. Sure, when everything goes well, DIY cannot be beaten. But get a couple of random gremlins in the system and the general lack of fuss you get with commercial gear suddenly becomes very attractive - regardless of the cost. It was the same for me back when I was assembling PCs for myself and my family.
  5. You must be cursed dude
  6. I thought so The guys at Twisted Pear are big proponents of digital volume control with the new Sabre 32 chip. They argue that the wide data path and high DNR allows much better attenuation than what people are used to from digital devices.
  7. I may be on the wrong track here by misunderstanding something that I have read...... but what if you run 16-bit material through a 24-bit or higher DAC, and at 0dBFS output you just fill the 8 bottom bits up with zeroes?
  8. Anything MisterX recommends is a safe bet. Though I would personally stick with higher voltage rated UPW (or UHE) caps throughout the amp.
  9. There is a song by an Australian/New Zealand group Crowded House called Weather With You. The catchline of the song is 'Everywhere you go, always take the weather with you' I can assure you 100% that I have NOT brought the weather with me. Its summer up here, and its fucking freezing. Same time of year back home, it would be 35+
  10. The last post of his where I saw he did that was deleted. But it no longer matters. He had been banned from Head-Fi olblueyez
  11. He often posts screencaps of his ignore list in the thread he is arguing in

Whenever I hear 'kitty' I can only think of Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys. I quite like cats, so long as they are friendly. Haven't had one since I was a very young child though......
  13. Buy a second set of HD800 to compare to then
  14. Yes, it does. You just try building an amp without it.
  15. Your sacrifices are everybody's gains
  16. Wow. Just wow!
  17. I'm still a big fan of 'clock spider' myself......
  18. Nociception might be a measurable biological response, but pain is different
  19. Just paid for three fully shielded and encapsulated 30VA transformers from SumR. My MMM and Buffalo are going to love me The missus is going to kill me

Did you also catch 'Laughing With...' right after the one you posted? Just as good!

Nice. She is so damn talented.
  22. Finished the move out of my cheap corporate suite and into my leased apartment. I am now officially 'living' in Canada. Now I only wish I had some furniture
  23. FWIW, my MMM is running just under 27V and AD8610. By the time you get voltage drop across D1 and various other losses before the OPAMPs, you drop 1.5-3.0V according to AMB; in my particular case, the OPAMP is only seeing 23.5V.
